I see a couple potential complications with this bullet design, knowing the pesky 9mm cartridge and pistols as I do. A lot of the 147 grain jacketed 9mm bullets used by the ammomakers have a "boat-tailed" base form, in order to prevent interference between a square bullet base and the case's inside case wall taper. Keep in mind that most 9mm barrel throats are quite short and have abrupt leades, so longer OALs to address base interference could cause magazine clearance issues or chambering problems. Bias alert--I am NOT a fan of heavy-for-caliber bullet weights in the 9mm.
