Good ol Shirley inspected and sent me a replacement block for the 358-200- RF. Unfortunately it will have to wait till I return from Mississippi to try it out. Hitting the woods one more time!

Hope you have better luck than i did. I got the same one back i sent in...in the same condition it was in before i sent it back.

That's a good bullet though, hope you get a good block back.

Good ol Shirley , based on my last 2 encounters with Lee Precision, probably needs to find another line of work.

Shirley isn't going anywhere soon. Lee is likely well aware of her shortcomings and has failed to do anything about it. Nothing better than QC that never finds a flawed product.
Makes me ask this simple question-who turns off more new casters? Lee with some really bad flaws in moulds or Lyman with moulds well undersized for what many guns need?

I wonder if Lee feels it is more cost effective to just deal with
problems as they occur OR try to increase the quality of their
moulds to prevent the problems from ever occurring in the 1st place.

I think I know what they have decided.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Ben, did you send your moulds back to Titan or to Lee? Titan has the "unconditional guarantee", take them up on it and get a refund.

I think both companies figure that the majority of buyers aren't sophisticated enough to know they bought garbage. And they aren't wrong

I sent the pointed 500 gr. back to Lee. I was given a $ refund.

The mold previous to that , a .30 cal. mould that miked .307" by .309" on the bands, I did call Titan on because that is who I bought the mold from.

They told me they couldn't help me and for me to send the mold to Lee.

So much for their unconditional guarantee.

Couldn't help you get the mould fixed, or couldn't help you getting your money back?

They told me to take it up with Lee and I did, they said not to return it to them.
I returned the mold to Lee and they refunded my $.

I was not very impressed with Titan's service...............
I was left with the impression, ....... " We'll be glad to sell it to you, but
don't bother us if it turns out to be junk."

By the way, if you buy a new mould from Lee that is junk.
You don't cast with it.
You return it for a refund.

I paid to have " their junk " shipped to my residence, that money was lost,
then I paid $7.00 to send it back to Lee, that money was lost also.
You don't get any of that $ back, I ask, they said " Nope " , sorry - - we can't help you on that..........

I'm slow, but I think I'm beginning to learn a bit here....................:mad::mad::mad:
Al Nelson at NOE doesn't play like that..........ask me how I know.

Ben, I am sorry for your misfortune. This is a real injustice, and Lord knows how many others got beat like this.

I hope you and others can do better on your mold purchases in the future. Buy the good stuff and move on. Educate your friends... in my opinion this is junk and the company seems to have a junk attitude.

It does not seem likely to me that they will re-evaluate their quaity control on molds. I will not take a chance on their molds based on customer reports.

I agree with Brad, I think Lee feels that 90% of the people who buy their moulds wouldn't know a quality mould if it flew up and hit them in the head.

Chris,

The irony of all this is that some of Lee's products are still worthy of consideration.
There are certain items in their product line that I wouldn't hesitate to buy tomorrow.

For me , their priming systems and their bullet moulds leave an awful lot to be desired. Very hit and miss , very close to 50/50 for me.

Everyone else can draw their own conclusions if they choose to buy from Lee.

Ben, what you say is true. Lee is innovative and their prices are excellent, I own a bunch of Lee stuff and will buy more in the future. I just wish they would focus on mold quality... I am adamant that I will buy no more molds until I am satisfied with quality. Shirley they can do better in this area.

Maybe Shirley picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
