In my limited experience with Lee RB molds they do cast a nice round ball................just not for very long.

Finally decided to give it a shot today with the new mold. Much better this time. Limited run since I had a few chores do get done for my 82 year young mom. Have some pc'd gas checked and sized. Little smaller than I would have liked but I believe these will chamber properly when seated to the crimp groove. As sized they are .35925. Fingers crossed!

Might be room for powder coat, too, or maybe fatten the alloy a little if your rifle happens to want it.

Chamber very nicely in my 336 powder coated and seated to crimp groove. Might be able to get .360 with pc if needed for the MG barrel. Alloy is 50/50.

Perfect. Soft alloy, a little powder coat to make them grab the rifling, 2000 fps, all that makes quite a hammer that's easy on the shoulder. After powder coating, I put Hornady gas checks on pretty easily with a couple of gentle taps with a 1# deadblow mallet and then base-first sized them .360", just enough to snug the checks nicely.
