I was reading, and honestly chuckling about folks getting moisture problems in their scopes last night on the interweeb.
It's one of those topics..... purging and filling scopes with gas.... that just ain't that hard. Manufacturing used nitrogen cause it's cheap.Argon is the doodoo(meaning good) cause it's a larger molecule. We have both, and will use argon everytime.Stick the dang thing in a plastic bag and turn on the gas, assemble, voila. But folks are like,"you can't do that",must send back to factory. Uhhhh, how do they think the factory does it? No different than certain welding,plug... purge, weld, get on with it.
I was looking up "frozen" scopes( mechanically locking adj)... as a haha.
