my egg plants just got tall enough to touch the light above the heating mat.
they still got 2 months till they hit dirt and see real sunshine, and over a month till they hit the green house.

spent a couple of hrs. doin nuthin,, it only takes like a half hour to water and rotate the plants under the lights.
no sense going outside and battling the wind and snow if you ain't got to.

My local friend and occasional shooting pard came by and we chatted for a couple hours. He returned my inside micrometer he borrowed to fiddle with his .223 brass (Howa mini-action and Ruger Mini-14), and I gave him the last of the sized and lubed Lee 358-158 RFs and a bag of the new NOE 360-160 WFN.

Thought, again, about casting another batch of the NOEs, but my energy level said not till tomorrow. Five Thriftbooks were delivered so recovery boredom will be kept at bay.

Need some help? I'm down to 5 chain saws at the moment but them and the poly cart we could make short work of that.
A very generous offer, but my neighbor who mows my grass has a mill and I'm trading him some of this big stuff for some milling of the other big stuff. I want several 2 x 8 and 2 x 10 live edge planks out of this. I'm looking at putting together a burn/campfire pit with benches around it.

:headscratch:With oak? Do you have any larger cedars in all that acreage? Seems a better idea for outdoor furniture.

Last evening we had a treat of having our little grand daughter spend the night with us. She was so entertaining ...there was no watching TV just watching her antics! We all burnt out a bit after 10 pm ( late for us).
Since this is a new thing; I mover her crib into our bedroom and we all went to bed!
Everyone went right out but good ole back issues got me up at 3 am so I to a pain pill and she heard me moving around so she got restless!
Bt 4 am Karen brought her into our bed and she zonked out between us! I started feeling better and kept checking on her. She was so cute he had to have one hand on Karen and one on me! Since Pooter are gray cat sleeps on the bed he joined the party! Everybody went out sleeping on their back ( Pooter had his legs up in the air!) When we woke up She and Karen played & I made Sylah a soft scrambled French cheese egg which she devoured! We all played until about 11 am and It was time for her to go back home! What a great brighting of our everyday life!
Went to Chiro Doc today He seemed be be happy while I was skeptical .... Hurt the same as every day but now $60 in the Chiro Hole!

Boy oh boy. Started out planting 7 Red Osier Dogwood while Sue was at physical therapy. When she got home we planted about 20 Prickly Pear pads on a dry hump at the top of our prairie. Next we cut up all of the chunks of Little Blue Stem, Indian Grass, Stiff Golden Rod, and Prairie Ragwort into smaller pieces. Dug several bazillion holes and planted the entire pick up load.
Then I mounted a 20 gallon tank sprayer the ATV and watered all of today's plantings.
After that we mowed everything but the .22 range. That can wait until the next mowing.
We had plans for a Cinco De Mayo meal and cocktails yesterday but with the 12 hour day on the road we passed. So tonight we had Tamales and I had a Michelada and Sue had a Paloma. Now it's Ibuprofen and Acedominnowfin, a heating pad, and the recliners.

i hear that that white river outfit is finally putting LR primers out into the system.
i also hear N.Z. and Australia are the ones getting them right now,,, but 'right now' was a week or so back.

they are a touch taller and need the anvil pushed into place when you seat them, i only mention it because some hand priming tools don't like the taller unit.

Considering we got all of those plants stuck in the ground yesterday, this morning's rains are timely.
Longhunter and I have plans to get together later this morning and maybe we could get in some practice for the upcoming .22 match. Right this moment that looks iffy.

It looks like some sort of summer weather is coming.
They say it will get up to near 90* by the weekend.
I am starting to work on the nest box kits for our OHA Youth Day.
It will be on June 1, so I need to get started.
The kids love to drive nails.
With the warm weather coming, the back meadow should be dry enough to mow.
Hopefully I can avoid the rocks with my newly sharpened mower blades.
They call the road that I live on Rockydale for a reason.

Well last night I slept until 3 am and then the pain in my Thighs and knees were too much so I took more Advil.
No pain in the immediate lower back however. Had an early lunch at 11: 30 am and then took some of those Advil / Tylenol multi tablets ( Tylenol have never worked for me but my wife sad these "double up" pills help the pain in her knee.
Well went for a 2 mile walk 45 minutes after taking them and had no pain walking and I hit my normal speed of 3 MPH! ( first time in 8 months)
When I came home I did have to rest with some heat packs but I was able to go out and spray the weeds that have taken over my big garden from neglect, because of this back issue. Then made supper. Tomorrow afternoon have another appointment with my Chiro Doc!
Maybe it is slowly helping! I'm sure it is going to be an expensive cure even with my medicare part 3 supplement. It Is working out to be $25 per visit out of my pocket. However it maybe more because the billing person said my insurance is probably going to deny any special treatments like the ultrasound & the electrical stimulations!

wind and a brutal snow storm most all day.
the lawn is sort of coming around in spots [enough to mow] and none in others.
i debated some grass seed for a few spots, but gave up and just bought some stuff to fix the sprinkler that froze and shattered last week.
supposed to warm up this weekend, but we generally get a couple of snow storms at the end of May so nuthin is gonna happen there anyway.

i went down to Pokie to cash a check i got from wells fargo after a class action law suit, thought about trying to go through their mediator for a few more bucks but figured since i didn't die and the EX got zero dollars out of the deal i'd accept their offer and move along.

siiigh don't know how to think about this.
remember turning 30?
yeah well,, lady gave me a senior discount when i bought the sprinkler stuff.
it was 10%,, but i ain't that old, think i'll shave off the white beard and dye my mustache blond to match my hair,,, which ain't got no white in it.
