What a fiasco. Waited 45 minutes to see the nose doc. His attempt to reset it was arguably the most pain I've ever experienced. The reset was unsuccessful and he wanted to try again. Not just NO!!, but *&%$ NO!! Said he does the same thing to six year old kids, making him both a child abuser and an elder abuser.

Maybe I'm a pain wimp. Maybe I've not experienced enough pain to know that it wasn't at all excruciating. I don't know. I do know that, once the nose's swelling has gone down and whatever its contour, it's going to the crematorium with me.
Got my nose broken in college boxing. Doc pulled the end of it down and shoved two Kotex up it. A little crooked, but works just fine. Hurt like a SOB!

pushed some real tiny yellow onions in the dirt, dug out and rolled a row of grass and put in some more peas, prepped one of the 4X8 boxes and Littlegirl threw some Kohlrabi seeds in it.
i think some of them were literally thrown in.
then i had to go to the ACE to grab another pack of pea seeds for the other row i got started on but didn't finish.
they have heirloom seeds there that are the bush type, and i want to start off with clean known seeds instead of the mish-mash i've been running the last few years.
the bush type will work much better for my watering system and i can put them in the raised beds if i want to.

i think we are gonna try to go to a couple of farmers markets tomorrow.
one up in Idaho Falls and the one down in Pokie right after [right after is subjective since they are like 70 miles apart, and Pokie is 70 miles from here]

Today I visit the Crooked Creek Conservation Club. They have invited me to teach their members how to sharpen things. This is the first time I have visited this club, we will see how many show up and how it goes.

They have several ranges and good hunting and fishing areas. I have been thinking about joining, so this should be a way to see what it is all about.

The young guy I have mentioned here several time, (my shooting buddy), got in a serious wreck yesterday morning, not far from here. He was on his way to work around 5 am, to the family concrete form business in a business owned F-350 dually flat bed with tool boxes that weighs about 8,500#. A girl and her boyfriend ran a stop sign, at a T intersection is some light fog, right in front of him. Had he not hit them, they'd have gone straight through the intersection and hit a house. My buddy hit them in the driver's side front wheel, so hard it knocked the box right off of a half ton Chevy pickup. The unbelted boyfriend came out the driver's side window, over his girl friend and was laying inert 100 ft. away. My young friend thought he killed them both. As he untangled himself from the air bag, he got out to check on the boyfriend and the kid jumped up and started "hopping around." The female driver was not killed!
The female driver was PBT'd at .209! WTH? It's 5 something am on a Friday morning for cryin' out loud. Anyway, both of the people in the Chevy were transported, and my buddy, (Kadin), is only a little stiff and achy this morning. He is still marveling that the other two were not killed outright.
In my opinion, after a long career working such cluster flips, my buddy should be fine legally and liability wise. He was under the speed limit, belted, alert from a good night's sleep, had the right of way, was not impaired in any way. He is not seriously injured, they have other business trucks, and the idiots he hit are not dead.

Sue and I had another full day, mostly on the road. My Mom's 93rd birthday is Sunday and of course so is Mother's Day. My brother and his wife live much closer to Mom, 16 miles vs 200 for us. Turns out Friday was the best day for us all to get together. We met them for lunch at a golf course restaurant my Mom favors. We left at 6:45 am and got home at ten after 5 pm.
Then I washed and inspected my boat. I had towed it home in the rain from a fishing trip a couple of weeks ago, and then I had taken it to my Minnkota dealer for another sonar unit. When I towed it home from there, (Harper's Ferry, Iowa), it was raining also. So my beautiful boat was covered in road grime and worm guts. Today I'll climb inside and wash the vinyl floor and deck and vacuum the carpeted side walls.

Nice boat ! & Happy Birthday to yer Mom...

Finally the building contractor got started on my Mrs addition project...the finish of siding, replacing some windows, & concrete work, that is where I come in....been braking & hauling out to my berm all the old slabs that needed replacement....Finally done, hands are sore at least my back held up , well the loader on the John deer might have been a huge help!!
Now if we can just get the contractor to stay on our job & not go start a new one ,this @#$ job will be finished...

Oh...I mowed the yard for the first time yesterday

I hear the pier calling.....

Raining all day. So managed to do some house organizing.
Going thru my emergency can food stash. Puting the close to out of date in the regular cupboard an making a restock list.
Realize don't have a good manual operated can opener except a p38.
Trying to find a good solid, non electric can opener that is easy for my wife to use.
