Scott's wife took it upon herself to fix up the bathroom in our new shop. Once all the plumbing worked we put a couple rolls of TP on the back of each commode and a roll of paper towels by each sink and were happy. We're guys, right? But hey, when a woman wants to fix something up I learned to stay out of the way and grunt approvingly at appropriate times.
Our bathroom has a handicapped stall with a toilet and full sink, a stall with a toilet and a urinal, and a shower and sink in the main area. Scott's wife got mirrors, a clock, a linen shelf, all sorts of handy bathroom tools and accessories and artwork. Here are some pics of the artwork, which she had framerd. She used draftsmans tape to hold the prints by the corners just like a machinist would tape up a blueprint.
Just as you walk in there is a print of a 3D printer on the right wall.
The main wall you see as you walk in has three prints.
One is a print of a Starrett micrometer.
Another print is a Bridgeport knee mill.
The third print is a Monarch lathe.
The shower curtain has gears and bearings.
This stall has a print of a P-47 ThunderBolt. They were made in Evansville during WWII. I was involved with a (failed) effort to rebuild one for static display some twenty years ago.
I didn't get any pictures of the handicapped stall, I will take some tomorrow and post them. There are two prints in there, one of Captain America's vibranium shield and the other is Iron Man's arc reactor.
I was having trouble with one seam in my drywall job. It is the inside corner of our vestibule wall, it is a 135 degree angle, A 90 degree corner tool won't work and I wanted a radius and not a sharp corner anyway. My wife just got new silverware, so I took one of the old spoons along this morning and tried it and viola! that's the ticket. The back of the spoon made a nice smooth inside radius, I think a little sanding should finish it up.
