I stripped the garden all but bare yesterday, then watched the Australian football game I DVR'd, before deciding to go do some fishing.

I had the whole lake to myself except for one guy.
you know that one guy,,, parked in your spot.
only not exactly in your spot, and not really catching anything.
but close enough to your spot you don't want to get that close to him.
I only stayed about 2 hours before I decided I had enough wind and come home.
I did manage to bring in 3 fish, missed a couple of others, and got them all safely back in the water so no cleaning or filleting going on here.

Well. If my video gear and I escape these wild fires I promise to make a concerted effort to make a new video of sorts in the near future. That is if all of my shooting locations are still intact. :(

The 39-year-old deck needs replacing, so we went to the "real" lumber yard and looked at Lumber Tech composite deck boards. Too many colors to choose from, and I'm not color-coordinated, but we brought six samples home and my wife quickly made her decision. Of course, it is the most expensive grade and has a 50-year warranty. We plan to be round for a while, yet, but 50-years is a wee stretch. At their ages, our kids may not make it that long, neither. Another 50-years will put the house's age at 92.

Our nephew is a contractor, and because it's a bigger job than I want to tackle alone, we'll be hiring one of his carpenters and I'll do what I can to help him.

Other than that, I've got some .223 brass in the vibratory tumbler.
