I sent Shamus a PM , Sages checks son . It looks like his Dad did all the forums hussle and ad work . He said he would check in here .
I know a few of us were wondering about him and what happened .

His son and widow are going to continue to run the business and are catching up on back orders , it's been a little rough on them the and the shop is just him and his Mom at the moment . It sounded like he was doing the heavy lifting and leg work on the grunt end .

Well went to the range this morning. Instead or working in the shed. So having lunch and a cup of joe with the wife.
Then giving myself the boot, to get started working, on the framing.

More freezing rain today. Didn’t get the vehicles move quick enough and the old Chinese elm in the driveway dropped a 6” limb across my daughters suv. So far there is at least one decent sized limb out of every tree in the yard and with the size of our yard that’s a lot. Going to take quite awhile to clean all this up. Two more days of rain in the forecast with flood warnings along with it. Luckily I’m around 70 feet above the highest flood line in our history

Was just getting ready to go pull the last spot I had traps set this morning and my phone rings. It was the county highway foreman with four more spots to set. Was about half way to the first spot and the Forestry calls with a nice contract to work. I worked the area four years ago, and one of the beaver dams was over 500’ long, and another 350’ long, both in the same flowage. The real nice thing is one spot the county sent me is 3 miles from where I shot my doe last year, and has two well used trails there today. probably as close to getting paid to hunt as I’ll ever see.

Pulled out my floor sheets and got them ready to paint.
Was finishing up my trusses for the barn. Thought I would have them finished, and get the floor boards painted today, then found myself looking up at my wife while laying on the ground. :rolleyes:Apparently my sugar dropped while I was working,. Do not understand becauseb it was high before I started working. My wife came out and found me half out of it. Gave me some glucose, feeling better now. Been a long time since I had a surprise drop happen that fast and effect me this much.
Well I am out of it for the rest of the day. Plans canceled till I can get things stabilized, hope my son can get the stuff covered up enough so it does nort get rained on..:(

Those "Silent lows" enabled justification for the Constant Glucose Monitor to my health insurer. No element of my health care has made a bigger difference in my overall health than has the CGM, which I have had in place for about 6 years. No more surprises.

Yep might be time to get back to an endocrinologist.
First drop like this in a couple years but this one scared me.
CGM would mean I would have to get an I phone, I am not allowed to have a phone (exploding in peoples pockets around the high heat and so forth)at work in the melt shop so that might be a problem.

Just got off phone with post office. The 4 SFRB I placed in my box to go out last Wed never got into their system.
Someone stole them from my box.

There goes 4 moulds and a custom top punch.

Very sad, Brad, when we can't trust postal workers. Some worker knows the kind of stuff you ship and helped themselves. I'd be having a one-sided and heated conversation with the postmaster.
At least they were insured . . . still . . .

I only ship flat rate and buy the postage from the USPS web-site. No standing in line among weird people, nor having to put up with harried and unfriendly clerks.

THis wasn’t a postal worker, it never got to them. Some other individual took the boxes right out of my mailbox in front of my home.
Never had this happen before. Won’t happen again.
