Went out the last couple days and cast a few that I probably already have enough of to be truthful. Note however I cast them, not "casted" or "casted up" a few. Anyhow to get to the gist of whatever, I use stacked 10# pots. Just for S&G's first day I refilled the pot with warmed up ingots off the hot plate. 2nd time used both pots. Refill time was about 2 minutes I'd guess and certainly less time consuming by far.
Both pots set at 365° C and noted the bottom pot dropped a whopping 2° C during the process. I remember a letter from Dennis Marshall years back suggesting the idea of stacked pots to me. So far most of the the changes I've made in methods or equipment have come from other folks on forums like this. And I appreciate seeing others ideas nearly daily, most of which I don't maybe use due to no skills in the particular area or their casting needs differ from mine.
