Haven't stopped raining since about 1:00am, going strong for nearly 12 hours straight. Winds to about 25, 55 degrees, in between duck seasons, oh what a gorgeous casting day. Oh know, here comes the 3 & 4 year old grandaughters, oh well. Hey get away from that ...........................................

I'm taking a break from casting just now. 42 degrees, 10 knot wind and partly cloudy skies. Temperature is dropping into the teens tonight, so that is cold to cast in the shop. Working on some RCBS 32 CM bullets and Belding and Mull 250 grain full wadcutter for the .44 Russian.

What is that white stuff, kind of looks familiar?

I keep seeing it on Christmas cards, too. When I was a kid we had something like that, and they closed all the schools.
I'm still stuck processing military 223 brass. I should be finished next week.

Ya. Took me about a week to make it through 2K rounds in my spare time. Swaging crimps, trimming, de-burring, yuck.

Ian, come on up someday. We can teach you about snow and cold. Did you know thermometers can read below 0° F?

Yeah, 3 year old granddaughter and 5 year old grandson came over. No sense to starting up the pot. Temp was 43*F with 25 MPH gusts OK, let's all go out to play. Taught them how to race with a potato and a spoon.

I had already spent the last two days casting up a pot full from the NOE 311-115 and another one from the NOE 316-160 (Harris). Only one day with any white stuff, so far and it melted the next.

I can not find the dislike button for the picture you posted. It now looks even worse outside my window. Definitely not ready or wanting this nonsense. It will however make seeing deer easier. Guess it's time to take the smokepole out to play.

Ran three pots of alloy this afternoon, each through a two-cavity mould.

Got a pile of AM 31-188Gs, Lee C358-200-RF, and MP 358-170-RF with penta HP pins (borrowed from L1A1Rocker, thanks man!).

That MP 358-170 HP is awesome if it the same one I have. Dual crimp groove 357 bullet?
That is the one bullet my Marlin 357 will shoot well. Does well in my revolvers too. Once it gets hot it is so easy to make a big pile of HPs.

we will be seeing below-0 here on Monday night.

need to get some wood brought into the shop and add about a foot or so to the stove pipe.
it should be about 25 or so tomorrow I think I will go down and shoot some Trap.
I should probably find my coat.

I laugh at your inch of snow, we had more than that in early October.

Early October? We had a few days close to 80.
We were due for something, we have had it pretty good for a while.

That's the one, I wasn't sure of the mould number, just pulled it out, cleaned it up, and started casting. Using 50/50 alloy it takes a lot of heat to make it fill those double crimp grooves well. And one of the penta pins needs to be worked on to get rid of a burr.

Mine drops bullets pretty well. I do have to watch my pace, if i go to fast the nose isnt fully set and will break on one side of the HP when sliding the pins. My 300 HP from MP is the same way.
I bet your 357s will like that bullet. I run it with a max charge of WC820 in my Marlin. Takes bowling pins apart like nothing else.

I'm surprised you haven't got something before now.
I guess we have been hogging everything.

I run Herco in my 357 lever gun loads, it's too loud in the revolvers.
unique will match the speed but not the volume for some reason in those.
