Looks like a repeat of yesterday. Some folks would say gloomy due to the somewhat dark overcast and occasional spit of rain drops. Not I, however. Highs in the mid 60's, little to no wind, no sun screen needed, and comfortable outdoor working temperatures.
I should got shoot a bank of targets, not a breath of wind right now to rustle the newly leafed out trees.
Well it’s official, this last winter set a record for snowfall, 2021-2022 preceded by 1990-1991, 1991-1992 before that 1970-1971 then you need to reach back into the 30’s. But this last winter there was a bunch of snow.
Up to the left more snow in the shadow of the ridge and to the right a few big snow piles but fairly open in front of the house. Lots of standing water.
Temperature today 55* for a high, tomorrow will be our first day in the 60’s. Friday and Saturday low 70’s then back to 60’s for the next week. That will finish the snow off fast.
RV’ing in Nebraska today. Water hose froze this morning but frost had melted off by nine. Spent morning patching both roof vents that blew off in Wyoming during 70+ mph cross wind. Steak and whiskey tonight.
Well 70 degree temperatures do make the snow disappear in rapid order. Nice!
Just two snow piles left one on either side of my old 4 Wheeler.
Green up is underway finally. Normally buds are out by the 5th. So green up is about 10 to 14 days behind. But it’s here!
Got to put the new tires on the lawn tractor pretty soon.
it was like 15-F last night, tried to sort of rain here, Littlegirl got hail just up the street.
pretty good lightning show up in the clouds, the wind gusts kept sucking the screen door open and rolling the canoe around the yard.
then nuthin and like 40 for a while.
spring is awesome.
