I always got a laugh out of SoCal's weather guesser's talking about a drought. Of course there is a drought, that's why it's a desert. Drought is the normal not the exception. People there always spend July & August complaining about the heat and climate change. I always asked them, climate change? Is that what you call it? Always got the same answer, "of course what do you call it?" I would simply reply, summer in the desert.
Yep, been here in the Lancaster/Palmdale/Mojave area since I got out of the Army in 1985.
Everyone "new" here screams global warming because the summers are so hot and dry.
I'm like, "yeah, it's the desert". After 37 years here, I actually think it is cooler than it used to be.
The Sequoia's show the weather patterns in their rings but none of these people want to look at evidence, just their opinions.
Funny, even the Bible talks of extreme droughts but of course the naysayers won't talk about the Bible!
