Still hot (mid to upper 90's) and very dry. Hasn't rained since the first week of June when we received only 1/10" twice. Guessers saying, four days next week, breaking the century mark.Slap face.png No rain till the 8th & 9th and then only small chances.......> 40%.

6/10's yesterday, an inch and a quarter predicted for tomorrow. 88° right now, a little warm even on the bike.

I've learned that any chance below 50% is virtually 0 chance.:sigh:
We've grown to love our 2 to 5 days per month of rain.

Pulling extra innings, a coworker is out with the Rona , uh huh , sure .....

Just 2 yr of flex part time , Ms unable to work since September, and 8 months of actual interest in a full time slot I got it today 2/12s and 2/8s .....I don't if I can do the 2/12s , 0000-1200 back to back then 2 1600-0000 . 3 day weekends . The turn over is such that it won't be too long until I get the straight swing or split day swing .

The plant is about 3 blocks from the fireworks so there's that I guess .

Thunder almost continuous started about an hour ago. Sky very dark moving down the valley from north to south. Temperatures dropped 12* in the last 15 minutes rain starting, hoping the rain gets heavy to keep the fires at bay.
Well the rain starting to be serious!!!

Another 6/10 yesterday, about half of what was predicted. It was a nice gentle extended rain. Worth millions I'm sure as the corn and beans suck it up in hot weather.

Didn't get much rain at my place either but it was raining pretty good on the way home from John's (Winelovers). Was raining fairly hard when Bambi jumped out of the brush on the opposite side of the road and ran straight into my left front tire. Bambi no more. Kinda sad, first one I've ever hit. Truck is fine, not a mark on it.

Supposed to be 100/78 today I'm not too big on that with the associated 80% humidity and the work place being back in masks ...... Fortunately tonight is in the shaded glass box with low traffic .

Haven't had a flash , boom , or drop of rain in almost 2 weeks .

As of about 1700 hrs. 106 degrees. Rain never showed yesterday.

Felt sorry for the birds a few days ago. Set up a small birdbath w/solar powered fountain clamped to the deck railing. Not too popular yet.

Glad you weren't hurt Rick. Sorry about Bambi though. Have to watch like heck when I'm running up and down our north/south corridor going to and from town.

Watching had nothing to do with it, it was never in front of me. Saw it for about 1 second out the left side (drivers) window as it lunged across the road at 90 degrees to me, right into the left front tire. Was daylight hours but raining, no one behind me and I was about 15 mph under the speed limit.

Yep! Seems like, oft times it's not you running into them, it's them running into you.

I've killed more deer by accident with a vehicle than I ever did on purpose with a weapon.

Hot, and still beyond "extreme" on the dry scale, I think they call it "exceptional". I've recorded 1-3/8" of rainfall the entire year. Normally we get that every other day throughout June. We get a LOT of this crap:

Another day while I was at work, it stirmed about 2.5" at work (blue dot) and not a drop at my house 11 miles away.

101.7* was the highest we seen on the thermometer. Humidity was less than 30%. Suppose to be three more days of this heat. Hopefully, we'll get some precipitation (47% chance) on Saturday.
