In the past few years I have moved from 45 ACP to 9mm because I could no longer shoot the 45 as accurately as the 9. Age and physical condition have taken its toll. We have better bullets today; shot placement is more important to me than the size.
Ah, the 380. Bought my little LCP strictly as a " git off me
gun." Have acceptable accuracy with the thing to about
5 yds Max. Consider that to be what it was made for
Agree with Bret on ctg. Like the little Flat
Nose lee.

Don't let anyone fool ya about the 380.

This buck took 2 shots from a p238 with Remington 90gr jhp. He dropped & died, no thanks to the deflected arrow sticking out his side. One shot expanded & passed through, the second broke a rib came apart & the lead exited, the jacket was found in the exit side hide. Made a believer out of me, my friend, & the deer.

USSR , .22 rim fire is illegal also .
I've killed deer with a .22 rimfire; that don't make it a deer round or something really good for self defense.
Don
That would be illegal in Tennessee . The P238 Sig doesn't meet minimum barrel length requirements and if used during archery season that would be another ding . USSR , .22 rim fire is illegal also .
For intended sporting purposes, no doubt. Sometimes, however, you may have to put an animal down and must use what you have available to you at the time.
