I ain't seen Josh around either of the places I usually talk to him in quite a while.
he was really the cheapest and his product was acceptable too.

I checked with NOE and they are out of 30 caL GCs. I asked when they may have them for sale again and got an IDK.

might have to get some from Sage outdoors on the E-bay then.
cause if NOE don't have them then Gator checks isn't sending them out and might have a problem.

I’ll second sages. They offer a discount too.

They carry gator checks and ones they make.

Has anyone noticed or proven one better than the other when it comes to copper or aluminum GCs?

Might be a complete coincidence but I’ve always shot my best groups with hornady gas checks.

Ben makes his own aluminum gas checks and shoots bug hole groups that put mine to shame so there might not be much to my observation.

up to a certain point there ain't enough difference to get worked p about.
after things get ramped up near jacketed speeds I prefer copper and quite often annealed copper.
having said that I mostly use Aluminum on my 31 cal rifles and have pushed a couple of them up near 2300 fps.

My friend recently told me that if you believe something strongly enough, it eventually becomes the TRUTH. ( In your mind )...........

Okay Ben, so tell me what you believe about the copper verses aluminum gas checks. My application is to projectiles of 30 cal and velocities at present of 1550 to 1700 fps. At the rather shorter ranges of 50 to100 yards I see little difference in the two. What has been your experience?

Brad, Thanks,I just ordered 3000 Sage 30 Cal. alu. checks. If they're good enough for you I'm sure they will be just fine.

Depending on quality and how they fit the bullet, you'll find people who have excellent results with any kind if check at just about any velocity.

I just ordered and have received 3K , .015 Aluminum checks from Sagebrush 7. $19.00 per K. Hornady g/cs are about $32 + right now. My rifles don't shoot groups any tighter with the Hornady checks than the .015" aluminum checks.

They shoot great, If I size to .311 or .310 they don't come off either.

Always thought you're a freechex guy Ben...but at that Sage price, who wouldn't wanna save their coil for later.

I have a FC III . 30 cal. Most of the groups you see me shoot, the g/cs are made with my FC III.

However, at $19 a K, I have to ask myself if my time isn't worth something.
