Ben,
I figured I'd put this up here first as it's your Baby.
I was shooting my 40-65 today at 300 yards doing load development, using a Brooks turkey Killer bullet cast with 30-1 and Lyman #2.
All bullets were coated with BLL then lubed with a Matthews lube.
I was using GOEX 1 1/2f and 3f against Swiss 1 1/2f and 3f.
I put 80 rounds downrange over my chrony and on paper, taking notes ( for a change )
But, I loaded 15 rounds with 74 grains of Swiss 3f which is a full case.
I sparked those with Federal Magnum Match primers.
A .060 poly wad was seated on top of the powder before compression.
The bullets were cast of #2 alloy and only lubed with BLL.
I saved those for last as it fly's in the face of conventional wisdom to not use a lube "to keep the fouling soft". I wipe between shots.
Those bullets didn't lead a bit. Fouling was a little harder but wiped out ok.
I think I'll work with this some more.
Thank You.
Craig
