At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
what type of music do you guys enjoy when casting bullets?
Marty Robbins, Brook Benton, Chet Atkins, Djngo Rienhart (sp), Glen Miller, Beach Boys (early stuff), ELO, Journey, Elvis, Andrea Bocceli, Dean Martin, The Statler Brothers, Marshall Tucker, Emmy Lou, Pure Prairie League, Skinnard, Allman Brothers, Andy Williams, Roger Whitaker, Hank Snow, Stan Rodgers, Ian Tyson, SAM COOKE!.......all sorts of stuff. Bagpipes and Celtic music too. Anything but modern jazz, modern country, rap, disco (except for "Kung Fu Fighting", I mean, who doesn't love that song?!!!!) and most classical. I know there is classical music I like, mostly Russian stuff oddly enough, but it's not "music to work to".

If it has a back beat ..... Or a fore beat ...... I was a bandie and grew up with ragtime and boogie woogie. I saw Ricky Nelson, Jan and Dean , America, 3 dog night , the Beach Boys twice , Tommy James , the Coasters , Billy Idol , Foreigner , Tom Petty , and the Bellamy Brothers . I went to Evanescence with my Daughter , I even saw Jon Sebastian . I was briefly woo'd by the classics and light opera but flight of the Valkyries was about as deep as I wallowed . Country is depressing to me . Rap up to about 1982 was ok . Will Smith shared a writer with Barbara Eden and the pink panther, it was Henry Mancini. If I had a play list I'm certain it would cycle occasionally in a really weird disjointed sort of way imagine "in the mood" followed by "piss on the wall" or "rage in a cage" with Jonny B Good (Chuck Berry or Men at work) backing Goodie Goodie with a Tennessee slap box with a little flight of the bumblebee or the bee bumble boogie ..........

I listen to books on my phone over a blue toof speaker. Free through the Wisconsin Library System. I am fond of John Sanford, Craig Johnson, Michael Connelly, Rex Stout, and Tony Hillerman novels.

Music is Spotify Premium, and build my own play lists.

For free, this is hard to beat :

Been listening to 70's music off of Ben's link. thumbs up.gif Six hours in and not one commercial or DJ. Not even one repeat song, unlike the competition, that broadcasts on relatively short loops. Listened to about three hours, yesterday afternoon and about the same this AM. BTW, we stopped the music and it picked right back up on the song we stopped it at yesterday. Dancing Queen by ABBA. They cover a vast variety 70's music, consisting of a mix of Rock & Roll, Pop and Motown. Only regret, is that they don't have a genera covering the 50's & 60's.

I listen to just about anything.
When casting, or loading. Was on a political comedy podcast kick for a while. But that stuff got old.
So last time I cast it was Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald.
