This morning's brain worm was a niggling thought. 110 Trombones, no that aint right, 110 cornets? I turn to Sue, "110 trombones?" She says, "76 trombones." Just like that she pulled that out of somewhere. Then she asked, "Where'd that come from?" "I don't know." She says, "Could be worse, on my way to the kitty shelter Thursday Mairzy Doats popped into my head."
The only cure is to go to Spotify. Type 76 and before I get any further there it is, 76 Trombones from the Music Man. Kill the brain worm. Play it. Then see the Air Force band's rendition and Viola' a cleaned up marching band version. Played it and I'm all good. Except, now I've started a new play list, Sousa anyone?

We didn't do much Sousa but we were marching and concert band with an option for jazz band and had to do the pep band thing for basketball . We did among other things the Anthem, Battle Hymn
e of the Republic, if I never hear on Wisconsin again I'm ok with that . Dumbarton oaks ........ I somehow missed out on the hot lunch jam and Peter Gunn.
I haven't picked up a horn or more correctly a sax since 5/12/84 .

I liked the bus trips to away games on the band bus. The cheerleaders would rather ride with the band than the sports team. Played Peter Gunn theme and On Wisconsin at least 1000 times.
