Well I’m pretty happy with my new acquisition. I’ve had two range sessions out at the gravel pit. Here are a few of the better groups that I’ve shot.
60 yards, four shot, 3/4”, standing using the hood of the Suburban as a bench. This group and the four sighters were the first eight shots ever out of this rifle. (Disregard the holes on the right, sloppy offhand work.)
120 yard, 5 shot group, 1 3/8”, prone off of a bag, w/o sling.
180 yards, shot from prone w/bag, & w/ sling. I thought I had a problem with the rifle, I figured that the plastic stock was touching/pushing on the barrel. Nope, just me using that sling aggressively. I like how it steadies my sight picture. I don’t like how much it changes my point of impact.
Now, I need to get to casting some with the Lee 130gr two cavity.
