I had a work phone that I had to call IT, I gave them the serial number and the guy took over the phone somehow.
I punched in some code and he wiped the whole thing then redone it, took about 20-25 minutes and I
never had another problem with it.

I spent a few hours trying to see if it was against the law to mail a cat in a flat rate box.
I can see why most postal employees are the way they are.

Jax took her first trip to the lake today.
it was about 40* so about as warm as it's gonna get for a while.
10 minutes in and she broke the retractable leash, fell in the lake, and was completely covered in mud and burrs.
she must have had a great time since she got in the truck and laid right down for the trip home.
we caught zero fish.

Mailing a cat, legalities would depend on if alive or dead & bagged or unbagged.

Fish are always biting somewhere. ;)

They say 90% of fish are in 10% of the lake.

they were somewhere alright.
we are in a waiting pattern for the bass.
it's too far from the full moon and the water temp is still a little on the low side.
I was dragging some grubs through their pre-spawn areas and didn't bother taking the boat down.
I usually go down and check the water temp and probe a couple of drop off areas and as soon as I catch a few fish there I know in a week or two the fishing will get going and it's time to get the boat dug out and head over to the weed beds on the other side of the lake.

tomorrow is probably going to be dry also so i'll head over to the trout lake and see how that's doing.

Not much for bass, usually catch'em on accident. I just don't enjoy casting & retrieving due to shoulder worn out. Precision trolling, jigs, bottom rigs, & slip bobbers catch most everything around here.

If our boat weren't blocked in we'd already be on the water. Really need to get it out for sanity sake.

they are pretty spread out around here, most everything is trout fishing.
from little streams to the bigger reservoirs it's all about the trout.
but a few of the lakes have some bass and walleye.
the one right down the road from me has perch and catfish with a bunch of 15 up to 20 lb carp that will tear your equipment up in a hurry.
they throw a couple thousand trout in there every couple of years but I really wish they would put some crappie and blue gill in there instead.

the good thing about the Bass is I know I can go down there and catch fish.
I might have to go early in the morning when it gets hot outside, but they aren't turned off from a little rain storm or if the wind blows the wrong direction for 5 minutes.
once they start biting in the spring they are real consistent until they stop in the fall, before and after that you have to drop stuff right in their face and aggravate them into bighting.

I usually go to another lake and just trout fish the edge of the shallows, they are looking for food when they come there in the colder months so you can wait for a while, but when you get the first one you know your gonna get more pretty quickly.
the only problem there is they all range from 3-5/6 lbs and are getting too big to fillet without a bunch of bones.

One of our houses is getting, the "sign"(state, cast, silver N grey historic marker) this coming weekend, and the best part..... they got the permit to blast a cannon. Bunch of revolutionary AND civil war re-inactors gonna be there.

I'd already committed to a pay'n gig outta town.Colour me dumbarse but, didn't find out till this a.m. Doing a walkthrough on a million dollar property. Just sayin, things come and go so fast? You have to keep your focus on things that are important to you, don't sweat the mistakes we all make.

They thrown tons of trout(12-20") in our city lakes each fall. They die when the water hits about 70 degrees. They are the perfect fillet & grill on water soaked cedar plank with some lemon pepper size.

I put a smaller rear hook on ssr5(silver & black top being most effective here) & troll around 2.75-4mph, those trout just plain smash them anytime of day & especially evening. Kinda like trolling for pike.

The Nebraska game dept claims to not ever stock crappie but they are in every lake we have & the river. Super easy to catch & delicious so, I'm not complaining.

Walleye is my favorite. Really enjoy salmon but no close lakes to go after them.

yea! it's Saturday.
the weather is just nice enough to go out and shoot some ground squirrels and such but that's what everyone else will be doing so I'm not gonna.

I'm trying to figure out where to put all the stuff in my shed so I can burn it down for the insurance money.
I think it would be kind of obvious if the insurance guy showed up to check the damage and my garage is stacked from floor to ceiling with all the stuff on the claims list.
any idea's?

Ever think of burying a shipping container in the yard?

Wait, it would just fill with water.

it would.
I would have to pour seamless 16" walls around it and water proof them, pour a sloped roof over the top.
then set the container in and keep it up off the floor just to be sure.

Might be cheaper to haul in dirt to build a berm alongside the container to enclose it

the bottom half of the yard is a separate building lot.
I guess I could drop a shipping container back there and put a tower and some speakers on it and write mosque on the side with some spray paint.
the bonus to that is I could go on vacation and the whole neighborhood would keep an eye on the place.
