I wish I knew what the deal with the spiders around here was.
they seem to like to try coming inside this time of year and setting up shop.
there is a ton [literally] more bugs to eat outside but the stupid things seem to want to come sit in the shop and build webs in the oddest places.
maybe it's just the time of year to weed out the stupid ones through starvation, but it seems like I find 2-3 in there every afternoon trying to build a web in front of a window, in the screen door, or some other odd space like the one I found in the wood stove.

Maybe those spiders are why there are fewer bugs inside.
They may not the ones that need weeding out?

OK,this may seem off topic but,it ain't. Think precision.

Got a big arse bow shoot coming up. I litteraly wore the freak out a FF(fast flight) bowstring serving over the last few months.... it's all about the practice. No biggy, slap the Bob Lee longbow up on the press and "reload" the serving.

In this process the nock points need to be removed,again..... no biggy.

Now to the point.... two things occur( how does this translate to dead serious CB acc),the first, the new nock point location is about .010" lower than previous, and two, which is SOP ,the brace height is "set".

Uuuhhhh,I can immediately tell the difference. So,what or how, does this translate to shooting CB's?Sort of rhetorical but,not really.Change anything in your shooting "set" ..... and it will show up on target. How "professional " you are effects how quickly you can adj.,both physically AND mentally to the changes presented.

OK,another way of looking at this.....

Got several of the fastest knee dragging, munchy consuming knucklehead motorcycle riders in the U.S. showing up here later..... they like the food?

Change their tyre pressure by a pound or 1 1/2 psi. They'll know it within minutes.

off topic in tis thread?
I'm not even sure it has a Topic. LOL.

this is killing me.
the weather is good this morning, but the fishing is supposed to be good this afternoon when the wind speed and chances for rain goes up.
tomorrow is supposed to be better down on the lake where the Bass should be spawning any minute now, but the daughter isn't gonna be off work until Friday.
think I will try some trout fishing this afternoon and maybe go for some ground squirrels tomorrow.

I soaked some paper patched 06' over night once . They shot fine the next weekend .

Really knee draggers being picky eaters ? Ok thats like that little fantasy I had about left over pizza when the flag team spent the weekend 6 xl should have been plenty ..........13 teen girls , 36 wings and I was lucky to get my hand back let alone left overs .

Yeah sometimes you can make pretty big changes that don't show at nominal ranges and sometimes .0005 makes everything go sideways .
I made a primer change once , closed my best groups almost an 1.5 " . If you knew the rifle the 6" groups would have impressed you let alone closing them to 3×5 .

I just found out our machine has another setting besides the 120 minute setting.
it saves a ton of water, but it does it by barely getting the clothes wet and rolling them around for 10 minutes.

We're temporarily without our own washer. The super fancy machines at the local laundromat appear to just run the same dirty water through each cycle. The dryers spin, but no airflow and no heat. We were there for four hours and fed nearly $20 in quarters through those infernal machines. Went home with two baskets of dirty, wet laundry. On the bright side, a pair of my shorts was on top of one of the baskets, and the wind blowing over the bed of the truck got them almost completely dry on the way home. Might have lost a few socks. If you are driving down Whittier Blvd and find any socks, please PM me.

well I had to reach out some and steal an idea from a buddy today.
but here is the thought for the weekend.

what if all the nations on the planet have ninja's and we only know about the Japanese ones because they are so bad at it?

hey now... it was either that or why do dog's only stretch out their backs going down stairs and not up them? LOL.
I should check the weather now that it's 8 am and Jax has finally wore herself out from playing for the last 5 hours. [yeah that's a 3 am start time for anyone counting back]

so since I was up I hauled the boat down to the lake.
I was dreading getting there because it's generally covered over with boats from Utah, and each boat is accompanied by at least 10 morons that flock to the boat dock ignoring the signs saying it's against the law to fish from or play on the dock or the launch area.
I figured it was really going to be bad when I got passed by two trailers on the narrow dirt road on the way in.
I roll up to the pre-launch area and both of those guy's have pulled in to the launch area backwards, have no clue about backing a trailer and keep yelling in Vietnamese.
SSSIIIIgGGGGHhh!!
10 minutes later I go down and back the one guy's boat in for him, after unhooking it from the trailer.
the other guy let's me go next, so I put mine in and fire it up and go fishing.
apparently they were together because about 45 minutes later here they come roaring down the lake and around the corner right into the river channel.
I'm fishing the last rock pile before the river dumps into the reservoir so I get a real good view of them coming and almost going.
one of them didn't go into the main channel he went around the little island where the extra 6"s of water trickles through.
I didn't know a guy could slide that far in the mud, he must have made it over 100yds.
I couldn't stop laughing the whole time he slogged his way back to his [formerly brand new] boat.

Your a bunch nicer than me. I sat on a picnic table at an RV park drinking beer one time watching a guy trying to back his trailer into a spot. After about an hour of watching and a 6 pack, all the while his wife waving her arms around and jumping up & down & yelling I told him that for $4 or $5 more a night he could get a pull through spot.

Ha, wanna good laugh watch the city folk try to back in around here. It's not uncommon for the special ones to take up a ramp for 20-30min, but gripe if they have to wait at all for anyone. Also watched one dunk his truck.

I'm jealous though my boat is still dry.

One thing I can say around here is launching a boat is pretty much a required skill, learned very young, particularly among the, umm, "less sophisticated" crowd. Seen many a redneck woman back a truck and boat down a ramp in one shot, with the mirrors, while the man got the motor fired up as soon as the lower unit touched water. In and out in two minutes flat, whole line of them one after the other.

the best part [and I gotta give him props] was he kept the cigarette clenched in his mouth the whole time.

it's only Friday so there might be a thought as well as this little rant.

so just about every year I pick a spot in the yard and try to improve it some.
this year it is the south and southwest side of the house.
years back we had a little wild grape vine that kept trying to become a big vine so I helped it along some.
I built a wire mesh trellis for it and put in some of that plastic trellis around the front steps so it had a place to grow.
now it's a few years later and the stupid thing had grown up the whole side of the house, around/across the front steps, into the lawn and was starting to climb up the Lilac bushes.
this is after me hacking and chopping it back every fall to just the wire and plastic trellis.
the windows on that side need to have the trim repaired too, so that become the focus point of this spring/summers efforts.

well 750$ later the stupid vine is chopped out, a sprinkler system runs down that side of the house, one of the Lilac bushes is gone, and my front porch is now reduced to firewood.
[rolling my eyes] yeah, the windows still aren't done, the grass looks worse than when I started, and the house on that side needs re-painted behind where the vine was.

we somehow ended up with some black berry bushes for the back yard, weed killer, grass killer, grass seed, fertilizer, bags of potting soil, a new rake and shovel, stain for the back fence, plus a half dozen rose plants in all the trips to the hardware store and Lowe's.
I still need the wood to rebuild the porch railing and stuff to build another flower bed next to where the roses are going, and mulch, and some paint

I'm thinking about taking up drinking while I'm doing the yard work.
