Re-Stocking a Rossi

Its SS, so why not spray-on bedliner or Krylon for the stocks?
Because it's not just the red color I don't like it's the shape as well. I can actually tolerate the red color OK. The shape of the butt really bothers me that square top with the recoil pad and so thin and narrow from top to bottom just looks funky.
Side-by-side with my browning it's just Fugly.

Apples and oranges. Hard to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Rossi's aren't high end. Myself, wouldn't invest half the cost of another Rossi for replacement wood. Look at replacing the recoil pad with a Pac or Limbsaver..............more cost effective.

wow that red really shows in that pic. Do you think wood bleach would take out the stain if you refinished it?

Yeah, I spoke to George about stocking a Miroku High Wall (Browning) I have and George will not do the Japanese Highwalls. My guess is there is just not enough call for him to tool up. Another thing he mentioned was that there are different versions, all having different dimensions. I thought with CAS so popular, that the Rossi's might be something he did. Oh well.

Cindy's Stainless Steel Model 70 Classic wears a Boyd's stock in Grey & Black laminate. We like the look. Don't currently have a picture in my gun folder.

off the Rossi website you can get a nice adjustable M-4 type stock and go full tactical.
it even has an optional 5 round bullet holder, and a cheek piece riser available for red dot's and the like.

Give it a big loop lever and it would actually be uglier.
Rossi sells larger and med loops on there house site. (Out of stock) There 3/4 size I almost like. The factory loop JUST fits 4 fingers 1/2 way in and with a glove is barely adequate. Doubt Id get one but I did consider it especially cause its 60$ not the sometime 200 ya see for Marlins. To my eye a more pleasant shape then the Henry 3/4 size.
