What is the stainless number with the octagon barrel? That looks very nice.

Wait, so you re barreled it?

Dang it, I can see this getting expensive. I have this old model 357 with a ring in the bore. A nice 44 special just seems like a good idea.

My favorite is the 44special. And yes I am a gunsmith by trade!

OK..Here is a Model 28 Smith. I am trying to figure out how to upload pics here. Looks like they will have to be downsized to keep the server from choking.

The thumbnail does blow up nicely. Pinned and recessed Model 28, now that's one S&W to be proud of.

I cringe when I see the grips on that gun. There was a time when Smith and Wesson target grips were cheap and available. We didn't think anything of taking a rasp and making them fit our hands better. Anybody who would modify a pair of N frame diamond target grips like that these days, would be burned at the stake.

It is no secret that I am a 38 Special revolver fan and 005 (640x368).jpg 009 (640x290).jpg currently in another Colt phase. I am shooting these two great old Colt weekly. A 1931 Officers Model and a 1954 Official Police.
