This last course of chemo has hit me like a ton of bricks. Just miserable. The only good thing about it that it's marginally better than pushing up daisies!
When you got to the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on. I understand the feeling.

On August 12, 2016, I was told to get my affairs in order, I had 90 to 120 days to live. It's been quite a journey, but a new chemotherapy is reversing the cancer, not just stopping it.

Yeah I’m MIL had breast cancer then a couple years later came back in her bones. They gave her six months later. She made it six years I believe because of her faith in God and her wonderful attitude. She was a wonderful woman.

trying to figure out what to over plant after i take out the broccoli and cabbage.
i generally cut the broccoli to give me more little Florette's over the summer and don't generally plant more than 6, but i ended up with a 9 pack on top of the ones i grew from seed.
i can generally get a second head of cabbage off about half those plants too, only it's a bit over soft ball size and very tender since i generally let them have a couple of nights of frost.
i've put beets in and around them in the past, but i've got about 150-175 of those planted already.

Well, Rich, I hope the rest of your vacation goes better.

At the start of one of our vacations, my wife's first pit stop was less than 20-minutes from home.

First day at this year's NCBS is in the books. Had a lot of fun, shot several revolvers and several rifles, bought a 14" 30-30 barrel for my Contender, from one of the guys. My 11 year old grandson shot 500 rounds of .22LR, and about 100 rounds of 38 Special, and my wife shot somewhere near 350 rounds of .38 Special.
Tomorrow is supposed to be just as good weather wise ( low 70's and sunshine ). Looking forward to another fine day!!

Big wild fire up Grayling Michigan yesterday, 3600 a.
Hope all are well!
I heard they even closed I-75, evacuating people, and losing structures. Not good at all. Hope they get it under control soon. I was up north of there over Memorial Day weekend and it was tinder dry with fire warnings up. We definitely need some rain. I'm not planning on heading north again for another week. Dr's. appointment and family obligations get in the way.

Some years ago I was caught in a fire in the Eastern part of the Pigeon River Forest. Driving out with fire on both sides of the road was a scary trip. It was a small fire but crazy hot. Was before I had a cell phone and was trying to take the most direct route out to report it.

Smoothed out a bunch after we got where we were going .
4 hours in the theme park this morning an hour or so in the pool shortly . I'll cruise the grills and putt-putt, the upper limit of both my desire and skills where golf is concerned.

The first day of 2 when we're just spent from the work life is really hard to enjoy but I've long been one of those that takes 3-4 days to get unloaded . It's been most of 2 yr since the last escape that was more than a long weekend.

Today was the day I packed up 90% of my stuff from my office at the Studio! 50 years has gone by and I'm now trying to take most of it home but I have no space there. The building has sold and this is the last week to clear everything out! Will be a busy week for me when I need to be home planting! Well after this week it will just be a memory!

After shooting in some of the craziest wind and mirage conditions, came home and trimmed a bush in front of the side porch that was in dire need of a trim. To my surprise, my Shindaiwa hedge trimmer started after a couple of pulls. Normally, I drain the tank and run the engine until it is bone dry at the end of the season. It appears I overlooked it and found it hanging from the shed ceiling with a half tank of last year's gas. I dumped it and put in fresh and it ran like a raped ape.

I've decided to take a new approach to trimming bushes. One bush a week, regardless of size. I come home every weekend to shoot so I can do one bush every week and things look good and I don't burn myself out doing yardwork marathons. In the past, I'd do both the hedges, and all the bushes in the landscaping in one long day. I'm done with that. I hire the man to do the hedges now. Gas powder hedge trimmers and ladders are a thing of the past for me. I can still do it. Just don't want to. Can afford to pay someone else. And I know that if I kept doing it, at some point, there'd be a bad day that I would wish I'd avoided. Will Muny said it. "A man's gotta recognize his limitations."

we usually have to go back she forgot something stupid we can buy there
Man will never understand female logic. At home, we have a big supermarket within a mile or less of our house. But the wife chooses to not bring groceries to the camp. Instead she drives about 10 miles to the markets out there, all of which have less choices because of the depressed economy in CNY. :headscratch:

Like hauling a case of bottled water 200 mi vs buying the same 15 min from destination?
Loaded 100 110 vmax for BO sat, got 1/2" H2O last nite that we needed. Was supposed to be a washout Sun., didn't happen. Downloaded an app for predator calls yesterday on iphone, maybe can call some yotes when I recover.

My wife's standard is to never repeat herself if you did not hear her the first time.

Wife: I'm going to meet Mo for lunch today.
Me: What?
Wife: Mo said we have not seen each other in a long time.
Me: What did you say the first time, I did not hear what you said.
Wife: Mo wants to get together.
Me: Okay. Doesn't really matter anyway.
