"they are looking for their bank"
Me "who".
Her "who did you think was coming for a visit today"
Me, "the kids".
Her " yup"
Me "Where are they?"
Her " Allen"
Me "why don't you start at the beginning of the onversation and state who wants what?"
Her "you supposed to say 'yes Mam'".

All that aside, for a 75 yr old gal that forgets stuff, she is a great one.

Folks always have horror stories about new car dealer sevice deps., including me. But the Toyota dealer where I bought our 2 cars new in 2018 continues to impress.

I was due for an oil change. Called to see if they could sneak me in today since I am heading back to the lake today. Service rep looked up the car and said I did the oil last visit. But it was not due last visit. I have a service contract and the intervals never change. But I had just renewed the contract and the performed the wrong service. So they dumped my oil too soon.

Had to go by the dealer so stopped in to gripe. Rep looks at the records and last change was NOT charged to the new contract. They change it by mistake and the dealer ate it. Rep never told me. So, It turned out to my benefit. Then she asks if I want to schedule the next appmt.. Told her I called about getting fit in this morning but cancelled when the oil change was not required. But I still needed to rotate tires and check fluids. She said come back at 2pm and she would fit me in. This dealer is a keeper. :)

I just got a disturbing letter that states I no longer qualify for my current health insurance. I can only imagine that this is a poorly composed [or poorly timed] letter and that it doesn't mean what it appears to mean.
BUT, if it is what it appears, then I guess I won't waste my time with another one of the $8k dip stick checks in the poop chute.

where do you live,, Brazil? Argentina?
ours are just starting to put leaves/flowers on.

day 600 of rain--thunder etc.
Way north of those two!
North central Texas about an hour south of the Red River. Despite a cool May, they ripened early and the last time we saw any here was July 2019.
They are called Indian or sand plums here. Much smaller and less sweet than normal plums.
My wife makes incredible jelly with them.
Here’s some that needed some rest on Firearms News to ripen more….IMG_1353.jpeg

Just cleaned the paint off the side of the car when she parked in garage this afternoon. Forunately had put plastic edging on the sides so just paint and no scratches. She NEEDs to turn the RADIO OFF.

Well been sorting thru our junk collections for the last couple weekends. Tossing it, puting it where it can get used or toting it.
$200 worth of totes later, two trash cans and a pickup full of trash, and still only about half way there.

Sometimes the decisions to throw away are hard to make, but I just have too much stuff that is not relevant to my life needs anymore.
Just took my automotive break in tools, whick are illegal to own in Ohio unless you are a mechanic or emergency service provide. Down to the old towing company, I worked for 7 years ago, along with a bunch of other relevant stuff.Sold them for about a 4th of what they are worth.

Some stuff I have no use for, or time to market. So painfully throwing them in the trash.
Like these two things. A magic Jack and a NOS coil for a 74 sportster.
Why have I kept this crap?
Any one want that coil dibs called in the next 24 hrs it's free, just pay for shipping, or it is going to the land fill.

HOG PLUMS!!! My grandmother (97 years old) still lives in her house in central Texas and gets those from the bushes that grow on many fence rows along the dusty county roads. She makes the absolute best jelly with them, one of my life-long food loves. As a matter of fact I'm gonna go toast a piece of bread and have some, been hoarding the jar she gave me last year for a special occasion like....Monday Evening.

those look to be about the size of a cherry.
i thought ours here were small, they are about half again that size.

from the looks of things i'll be making some this year,,, maybe, if they ripen before freezing.
sour cherry jam for sure, and everyone is gonna be disappointed in not getting their allotment of apple jam.
we finally worked out a recipe using half brown and half white sugar with the just before ripe greenish apples that is stupid good.

hottest day of the year so far.
it got up to 67-68 depending on which thermometer i looked at, i got all excited and put the rest of the pepper plants out in the covered box by the fence.
i'd rather they were in one of the big boxes that run north-south, but that's what was available.
all i got left are squashes and artichokes, plus some egg plants i'm holding onto in the green house to over plant whichever one of the Brassica's head out first.
the patty pan squash really want to go out, but i know better without a solid cover.

When Elon starts terraforming Mars, we know who to call to head up the agricultural committee.

You know, if you'd just bitten the bullet in the beginning and put in a 24x48 double-pane insulated greenhouse on a slab with heated water pipes going through it you could grow whatever you wanted. Make the roof outside layer 1/2" Lexan for the hail and put in some UV grow lights for the short days. It would only cost a quarter million to build and 10,000 gallons of propane a year to run the boiler, but hey, free veggies!

Cleaning up odd things after the shoot this weekend. About 10 am I got an ocular migraine. No pain but weird checkered light patterns in my left eye. Laid down for a bit, fell asleep until about 10:30. Woke up, checkering gone. Went out to help Sue with weeding a new flower bed. With the two of us sweating like pigs we got it done by 1:30pm.

Ate lunch, cooled off, went for an 85 mile MC ride, and home for a fish fry. Sue was gone for the big fish fry frenzy Saturday evening so I thawed out a dozen blue gill fillets and since the Dutch oven still had good oil in it I fried 'em up. Left over tater salad, cole slaw, rye bread, and just barely enough home made tartar sauce from the quart and a half I made for the shoot.

Nice relaxing evening after Supper, watched Perry Mason, loved the 1950's cars on the show. Had a little Maker's Mark and some mint M&M's. Another ho-hum day in paradise.

Isn`t the term "female logic" an oxymoron?
I finally got all the garden planted except the okra.
I will leave it i the window until it gets a bit bigger.
All the outlying grass will be mowed by this afternoon.
I really need to shoot the loads that i worked up for the granddaughters 7MM-08.
