If I drink Jack, we all go to jail!
Don't know what's in it, but it hits me a lot harder than anything else.
My usually drink is a single malt Scotch.

All of the maple syruping jugs washed, sanitized, and hung in the pole shed. Did a little recon on the Mississippi, all the boat landings are under water and the river won't peak for a week to 10 days yet. Might be two years in a row without walleye trolling. Three ibuprofen and a gin and tonic should work on the low back pain.

guy quoted me about a grand more than his partner did less than a year back for a new boat motor.
I been saving for 2 plus years to get one and they raise the price when I get close...buttholes.
the other guy is supposed to call me back tomorrow, since all this guy could find was prices for everything but what I really want anyway.
I'd go elsewhere but they are 80 miles away and the next closest place is about 90 more.

gotta take the pickup in to the shop tomorrow, I have a feeling the front bearing is going out on the drivers side.
can't remember what it cost for the other side, on the other truck I had done a few years back.
killin me,,, the dealership here in town called and offered me 110% for the blue book on this one a couple of days ago.
I want that boat motor, but I can't pull it without a truck.

John.
I'd get the 220 pulled in too even if it's split into 2 110's and a couple of double breakers are left open on the panel it's a selling point down the road.

Fiver,
What kind of boat motor are you looking for?

I'm in agreement regards the 220 Volt.

Got another 50 rounds of .308 loaded for long-range and penetration testing this weekend. Not really liking loading rifle rounds on the progressive press so far. It doesn't save much time and diminishes the precision and consistency of each operation. New Lee 4-station might become a .45 ACP press and Ian might switch back to the 4-station turret for .308. Still liking the RCBS Chargemaster, though.

not particular about brand, they all seem like they are good solid motors right now and will last me 20 years no problem.
the issue, I think, is I'm looking for a 25 or 30 HP electric start, tiller drive model.
most every shop around has 15/9.9 or smaller kicker type trolling motors, or a few 40's, but mostly 90 to 200hp models on hand.
the closest place to me pretty much carries high end 60+K type jet boats and an occasional 30-K type fishing boat manages to come through from time to time.
almost all of the smaller used boats I find are junk or 50 years old or just too big for me to handle by myself at the dock.[or out of my price range]

Wet and crappy here. Chasing people down to get signatures on my petition. I hate doing that, just hate it. Not a lot else I can do today it looks like.

I'm going with a 100 amp panel. Wire bundle, they pulled, has four separate wires of @ 1/4" thickness. I'm not an electrician but I'm pretty sure that 220V would be available if needed.

I have a '96 15 hp Evinrude that hasn't been in the water since '02, when we traded the 14' 3" Westcoaster and cash for our current 17' 6" with GMC/OMC in/out. Don't know anyone who is in need of it, not its value, but it's available.

I thought about a 15.
for most of the lakes I fish it would be adequate.
but then I think back on bucking the wind across American reservoir, trying to run the current on the snake river, plus the occasional trip to Lake Powell and I know I better stay with the bigger size.

Bucking the wind with a 15 is a tough one. Lake Shasta, white caps, splashing water is soaking us, hitting the waves head on or riding them at an angle didn't make any difference in our forward progress. Possibly the worse part was watching the pontoon boat pass us by as if the wind wasn't even blowing.

Drove to the tiny burg of Watkins, Minnesota to pick up some John Deere parts as the 3 closer dealers didn't stock them. Afterwards, drove down the main street, as I enjoy looking at the old buildings in small towns. Saw a Hardware Hank there, and found they had one can of Johnson One-Step liquid wax. Couldn't quite believe I had found a can. Price was $7.29. I'm happy.

Ended up chasing horses, my own this time, and walking fence line. Skies cleared up, not a bad day after all.

Spent a few hours with a Stihl Combi-Tool with the rubber paddle head cleaning gravel out of the grass from Winter snow plowing. Left me pretty tired and achy. Primed about 50 .308 cases and coated 100 30 cal and 100 8m/m bullets with BLL. They were already sized, gas checked and had one lube groove filled with Ben's Red. Oh, and found 6 more jugs from maple sap collecting that needed cleaning, sanitizing, and hanging in the pole barn. Productive day.

Potted a majestic palm and two miniature roses, planted some sort of small flowered camellia tree, and potted and planted 36 petunias, impatiens and violas.

An errant rain cloud dumped about 1/4" last evening, so no weed pulling till Sunday, at least. Tomorrow, I want to sneak across the street and do some weedeating round my elderly neighbor's oak trees.
