So reverse pitch is a brake? Had an old Falcon with the reverse of drinking problem. Defective vacuum tranny line that filled the crancase with tranny fluid. Had a Astro van that kept all the oil in the valve covers. Small drain lines in the block plugged easily.

S Mac and Ian,

Back to our discussions about my E-350 chassied motorhome and its ABS and brake dash lights that remain aglow:
Had a few spare minutes, today, and checked all the fuses in the engine bay (not numbered on the underside of the cover, wouldn't you know) and all are good, and the brake fluid is right at the full mark.
When I have more time, I'll see if there's a way to get my 6', 185-pound body somehow crammed in the foot box, to check those fuses.

Our ancient but awfully clean and nice '73 Winnebago Indian had several electrical problems that kept me laid over the doghouse, backwards and upside-down. It's times like that, and what's upcoming, that make me thankful I don't have to do it for a living.

Onward . . .

S Mac

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
Backwards, upside-down, break your arm in 3 places, welcome to my world.

As ex-president Billy Jeff would say, "I feel your pain." The difference, though, is that I sincerely mean it.

I'm 6'/175lb and have paid my dues under dashes and arm bent six different directions.

So, welcome to Ford..."why number or identify fused circuits on the panel lid like GM does? We don't want our customers to know our secrets". More like they don't know fuse locations or sizes for sure until production actually starts, then they sketch some notes on a styrofoam coffee cup and rush it to the owner's manual print shop.

Anyway, the dual light thing on a 2001 makes me think float sensor malfunction, seems I've replaced a few. Possibly this one: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...MI14nugLqV5AIVw__jBx2_oA3LEAQYASABEgLz9vD_BwE

Some are three wire, some two. For six bucks it might be worth throwing one at it before going to a mechanic for a real diagnosis.

you might just have some junk on the sensor too.

decided to make a Wednesday night trip down to shoot some trap tonight.
I don't know why it was like 95 down there, and I knew it was gonna be pretty hot.
but it felt about 15* cooler than 90 did up here yesterday, maybe the breeze or a little more humidity or both maybe.
we have been having a heat wave the last week or so, but the nights are still dropping down into the 40's so I know it ain't gonna last.
I'm just gonna keep pouring the water to the garden and hope the winter squash gets pollenated, I have 3 different types in the same bed and they are getting some good vines going, and I might even get some eggplant and artichoke this year.

Junk could be a possibility, too, because prior to the brake job the fluid was really dark and hasty looking.

Whatever, nonetheless, regardless, nevertheless, replacing the sensor makes sense.

Twice in a month, maybe month and a half....

First was a F250 @55mph fully halfway in my lane....ran us off the rd.

Yesterday afternoon, some bimbo had JUST pulled out her driveway no less....on a cell and was within a cpl feet of being completely in my lane. I saw her pull out from @1/8 th mile or so..... kept watching,"yup she's texting". Never took my eyes off her and came to almost a stop with the Buicks passenger wheels on the shoulder....

I swear,she passes me... and is,STILL TEXTING....

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Bret,

I've found Weather Underground to be much more realistic and reliable, at weather guessing, than NOAA.

But I AM using Weather Underground!!!

The particular station I use is maybe 4 miles north of me as the crow flies. The is another 5 or 6 miles south that seems to be just awful and it's forecasts are always screwy. I don't know what WU does with the info it gets, but when you ahve 2 stations 10 miles apart with radically different forecasts...

The rain stopped about noon yesterday. I'm hoping that ground dries enough with the breeze we have to flop some hay over that's laid in the windrow for a week now. I also hope to knock some more down.

I planned on seeding my food plot, today. Last couple days of rain, made disc-ing the fertilizer a tad clumpy, yesterday. :sigh:

the start-stop wheat harvest started yesterday.
I could see the yellow-brown hazy dirt clouds waay off out in the flats across gem valley yesterday.
now I gotta watch out for various barely run never mind stop overloaded 50 yo rigs driven by 12 y.o. kids and part time CDL drivers rolling up and down the dirt roads.
