Maybe i wasn't so dumb. Buying those off brand SRP last winter. 2k down and not a problem.
I did the same thing, I bought 4K SRP. I’m down too 400 SPP. When they are gone I’m gonna start with the SRP’s in 357 mag starting loads.

Had to sell the 06. :sigh:
School starts in 10 days and just got the supply list. They just posted it today. Thought I had most of it whooped, just went and paid a bunch on school clothes, shoes and supplies. But.... He needs 2 different kinds of TI calculators, one is 40 bucks and the other 120 bucks. Just can not have that kind of money together that quick. My son comes first.

So guy I know came to look at a couple of my guns. The only thing he wants, that he can-will pay me about what I gave, is the Savage. Gave me within 5 bucks of what I had in it. Just enough to buy the calculators.

Not getting rid of the bullets powder, mold, checks and other stuff for now, as I will probably be getting me another 30 caliber something as soon as we get over this hump.

Wasn't the best 06 in the world but I learned a lot from it.
It took me into more serious rifle casting and loading. Missing it already.

Who knows Maybe I will be able to get a 30-30 or 30 carbine in a few months.

At large, whereabouts unknown.
Been there, done that, and I still have the empty rifle sleeves as souvenirs. At least this one for you is just a "hump". You'll be able to recover from this pretty quickly. Keep the faith...

You are a good Father! Not all dads put their kids needs first.

Twice in my life the “Free Gun Fairy” has sent projects/orphans my way. I’ll be sending the free gun vibes your way!

Still sitting on 7-8k srp, haven't been shooting the 223s as much the last couple years and have been taking it easy on the old 1906 M94 Marlin 25-20. Mostly Wolf and Tula primers, I've had very good luck with them in a couple very accurate 223s, better than the Win I used to use. The 25-20 has had some light primer strike problems since having some work done on it, so it gets Federal primers. Got plenty LRP, including a full sleeve of Win that were traded out by the company when I had some trouble with leaking primers a few years ago. LPP is my shortage, thought I had enough for quite a while till I got the Ruger Flattop 45 Convertible. That one has been going through them like wildfire. Don't have to chase brass like with the 1911 so it gets used way more. I've gone through more rounds in 3 months with the revolver than I did in 3 years with the 1911.

I have been looking on line for primers....I know I know!
Anybody have a handle on where to get Small Pistol primers?
Thought I would look and see how many I had, I am down to 100 #500cci and 100 in pre primed 38 special brass.
Guess I best be looking myself.

went out to watch over the Dove spots some tonight.
it looks like a few more birds are moving in they are using 2 of the spots but not the one I have had some good morning shoots on yet.
managed to scratch down a pair of rock chucks I have been watching, one really old male and his junior counterpart.
I put 2 shots in the big guy, and he still slowly crawled off.

too bad it isn't the deer hunt, I seen a pair of decent 3 point bucks together, and then a Bachelor herd of 6 together with 3 real nice ones in the bunch.
I then seen another buck bedded down in the grass right about where I had seen the Bachelor group moving through, he had moved down off the hill where I had seen a group of does earlier.
that's the most deer I have ever seen out on these grasslands.

I feel bad for you guys needing primers , KOW , I've not run short so far . Last time I started buying what was available and for some time about all I could buy was SPP then the LRP came back and I was into the last carton of LPP when they came back . Somewhere between the LRP and LPP come back #41s ceased to exist it was over a year before I saw another SPP mag or standard . I almost ripped the mag strip off in the casino atm when I found a vendor with #41s in an arsenal pack of 5124 or some where count like that , 294 per tray .
209s ? There's a mess but with 3-4 cases of $45/case factory's on hand I don't see it being a problem right away .

Good with rifle primers, Magnum pistol primers, and pre primed. 223. Just low on my small pistol. Going up by the big box stores for my wife a hearing aid orientation and check. Then got to go get my kids school Supplies. Any money left going to stop by Fin Feather Fir and see if they have any, they have been pretty good about not gouging.

Yesterday, as I was sizing/lubing some NOE 360-160 SWC, I was
thinking to myself, all the times I see the PC people standup and
lineup the bullets to be PC'd and baked. I always thought, that
I'd never do PC, because I didn't want to go through all that.
 LOL.

give these guy's a try they are in Pennsylvania.
they are mostly known for shot gun reloading, and good prices on shotgun type powders etc. but they do carry some metallic stuff.
you have to call or E-mail them to order.

I'm not surprised.
They say there has been a record number of first time firearms purchases.
They don't reload, but it just goes to show how much interest there had been.
My brother has several friends that have purchased new firearms, but can't find any ammo. One of his friends bought two AR-15s, but couldn't find two 9mm pistols. He wound up with a 9mm and a .380. Sounds like a recipe for disaster. Then he couldn't find any extra magazines.
He asked if I would sell some reloaded ammo to them. (I reload all of these calibers)
I turned him down.
I only reload for family and a few guys on the deer lease.
To much liability to supply hand loads to novices, that don't know what they're doing.
I told my brother not to give him any of my reloads and tried to explain the reasons.
Hope he listened.
