Ok, thanks. I like to mark my stock and avoid doing something dumb like making a
special punch and "heat treating" it, when it is 1018.....pretty disgusting when it folds up
like play doh at the first hit. Ask me how I know this.
For a whole lot, 1018 is just great. Just don't confuse it with 4140 or even 1040 when you need
a really strong item.
Oh boy , Delrin. Great stuff for certain applications. Never worked with HDPE. Is it
good enough for a soft hammer head?
