61* right now, with some gusty winds running 15-30 MPH. Yesterday was a bit warmer and windier, 25-40 MPH. Marie's plane herding job at KSBN (repurposed Norton AFB) with Ahad to come inside mazon got interrupted when Air Force 2 (Kammie The Kommie) landed there. Everyone on the ramps had to come inside the buildings for 30 minutes until Her Superfluous Majesty exited the venue (about 12:45 P.M.) She returned about 3:30, and AF2 was held on the ground past 4:15 due to 40 MPH+ crosswinds, no ETA on release. Marie left early, planes couldn't move with Kammie ensconced on the runway. In short, a pivot point in the supply chain got choked off twice by politician insistence on junketing. We send them to D.C. for a reason--to stay out of our way. When they come back, they halt all progress and work wherever they go.

10*F at 5 a.m. S wind at 6 mph. expecting 3-5" of snow later today. Two weeks after the weather prognosticators were wringing their hands about record low ice coverage on the Great Lakes, we are well into the average range. Must have been a slow news week.

About -12 right now. Clear skies of course. Getting thoroughly tired of this. I used to strap on a pair of snowshoes and go for a good hike. This year I look out the window and just sigh. Something has gone awry.

Just came in from walking Tasha. Have NE breezes. Been 25* for the last several hours. Clear skies, pretty, but a bit chilly.

-20 and still dropping in the pre dawn. Fed the birds already as they will need it desperately when they wake up. Got the wood stove purring away. There's a couple of homemade bagels ready for the toaster and the coffee pot is full. Frankly, I don't really have a thing to bitch about. Oh, I plugged in the boat battery charger last night for the monthly top up and one bank showed a red light on the LED. The other two went to green instantly. So worse comes to worse the starting battery may be frozen and will need replacement in Spring. I wonder if the master power switch got bumped into the on position while I was digging some stuff out of the boat in December. That'd activate the gas gauge and I'm sure it would deplete the battery in just over a month. Especially with the cold weather we've been experiencing.

Brrrrr cold today, -17 right now.
BUT, it's suppose to get to 28 by evening.
I hope to get out and do some snow cleanup that I put off, because I hate to start up the ATV to blade snow when it's below zero.

Beautimous weather. Daily highs in the mid-60s and lows in the mid/high 30s overnight. This has been the pattern for over a week. While more rain and snow would be welcome, this spate of fine weather is quite enjoyable.

Same nasty weather for 10 days now; low of 20 - high of 28, cloud level 2500 feet and no sun, no snow, no nothing but clouds.
