Yes although I have to admit, when it’s cold like this, I would rather it snow like hell and get it out of its system by spring! And a bomb cyclone? What is that really, other than a good name to get you to their site.

Beautiful weather today if a bit chilly for me. 24 when I woke up at 7 and topped out at 68. Unfortunately I spent the day inside cleaning and organizing hobby stuff instead of enjoying the weather because I kinda got myself into a cleaning mess that will get worse before it gets better and needs to be finished.

We're supposed to be getting a bit of snowfall this next Thursday/Friday. So far I've seen guesses of as little as 2" and as much as 8". Right now the guess is 3 to 5 inches. Gonna have to park Mom's Suburban up near the gate.

A "Bomb Cyclone" is just a rapid drop in barometric pressure. 24 millibars in 24 hours. Our weather folks are fond of hyping "Near Bomb Cyclone" for just about every decent storm system that comes through. How "near" they are a little vague about. There is nothing new or particularly rare about the storm systems, just a new name to describe them.

MOMMA was outside about 19:30 shoveling again. She loves it I think. My buddy stopped by, on he was from his dads with a blower and made everything right pretty!
Looks like we got about a foot. But it was crazy windy so drifts 3-4' are everywhere. Some parts of the yard barely have 3" but my side 4' fence ya can only see about 18" of.

When the target audience is largely incompetent as far as self sufficiency, and are totally dependent upon the "authorities" for most of their basic needs, fear is a winner for the newsies. I have deleted both national and local news from my life, even local radio news. Most everything is a surprise to me now. After the constant drum beat of negativity coming out of my TV a couple of years ago, I just dropped it. Oh and sports too. Quit it like quitting smoking in. my 20's, cold turkey. I feel much better.
Overcast and in the teens and the temp only varied a couple of degrees over night. I may go plug the tractor in, the overcast looks like snow. There were deer out feeding everywhere yesterday.
