The pickup is in the old base Officers Housing at Hawthorne . The white semi was in the driveway at the Buffalo Stop gas station at Walker Lake . The Amazon truck I think was down in the bottom of the dip just past the state gravel pit going south at the south end of the lake .

no wind here today,, just a slow cold steady drizzle of rain.
at least that's what it's been doing for the last 3 hours, I think we finally got Sunday's weather.

I hope it breaks up this afternoon.

Broke the high temp record today by one degree, was 89 with high winds. I don't believe I have ever seen it this dry here. Must be the Covid 19!

Yesterday was predicted to be mostly sunny all day. Thunderstorm, rain very heavy.
Today it was going to rain all day with thundershowers in the afternoon. Instead mostly sunny and hot. Not a drop of rain.

rained most all night and is supposed to rain more this afternoon with snow up a little higher.
I ain't seen the mountain tops yet to confirm the snow.
our in town lows are back to 32-33 again for the next few nights, so I am in no way doubting the snow prediction.
I'm sure the egg plants are loving it..

Couldn't ask for better here! Past 5 days were a bit low in the mornings and 70's in the afternoon with low humidity ( something unusual for us!)
Humidity will be ticking up each dat after today. Tomatoes growing like gangbusters but chillis a bit subdued!

Amazingly, the last three weeks have been mostly sunny with temperatures in the high 60s. For today, the weather guessers guessed the high would be 72. Wrong! It's 84 and there's time enough for it to go a couple degrees higher.

I'm starting to miss the June gloom . . .

They said there MIGHT be a few storms last night.
Well, I've got an 8" branch down from the top of one of the Red Oaks in the front yard and we got 4" of rain last night!
We thought the roof was gonna come off a couple of times! 60+ MPH winds.

"Might be a few storms" from the weatherman is like........"this might be a little uncomfortable" from your Doctor. In both cases grit your teeth and hunker down, you are not likely to enjoy what follows.

Well here it is, the longest day.
2 hours and 10 minutes of "night". 21 hours 50 minutes of sunshine. Never ceases to amaze me.
Hour and a half north of here on Eagle Summit on the longest day, the sun comes down and does not set, just kisses the Planet and starts the new day. We have been here 45 years and for one reason or another have never been to Eagle summit. But we planned to go this time, but, over cast.

Hmmm . . . replying to my own post is weird.
The high that day reached 92, only 20 degrees higher than the original guess. Plenty hot, though!

The June gloom has arrived, at least till late mornings or early afternoons.

Yup, lots of wind and rain most of the night, 4" in the gauge. Darn, she must be mad or somthing, sends me all the texts she sends to the son. just talk to me! Wants to go swimming at his house today (actually just to be with the GKs). I just got all the LN sores patched so - NO. Ok I'll sit or sleep on the couch. Got back from shooting the other day, says she, where you been? Didn't you remember me loading the guns while you were on the computer - in the same room?

Very humid today, 90s. All of a sudden, frog strangler with wind. Her plastic propeller decoration in front flower bed took off and landed in the street. Retrieved and fixed it.

Rain last night intermittent from 11p to about noon today settled all the nasty Sahara dirt that had visibility down to a half mile here. Cooler with SW breeze tiday, only 96 right now.
