we might make that today too, but I don't think we will.
our nights have been in the 40's all month, I think that is what is slowing down the squash growth for everyone in town.
I have been considering pulling out the plastic at night to help kick start things again.

looks like a 50-50 chance of rain and or just lightning for the next 2-3 days.
a little rain would be nice, a little lightning not so much, we already had a fire over by Pocatello the other night.

Those weather guessers are pitiful. Yesterday, had threat of rain, starting at 11 AM. By noon, they gave the all clear. Well at 5 PM, it rained for half hour, sun stayed out the whole time. Gauge had accumulated 6/10 of an inch.

The day before, there was a 80% chance of heavy thunderstorms..................we didn't get a drop. Don't know how they can keep their jobs...................let alone show their faces on TV.

Over cast with rain starting this afternoon which looks like it's going to last the next 4 days. I'm sure there's going to be breaks at times, I hope.
The summer started out great in May and early June, then went way down hill. Still have some very nice days, but wetter then normal and about 10 degrees less then the normal weather. Going to build some simple hoop visqueen tents over the garden boxes.

I've been looking for one of those Welfare jobs all my life.

California's Central Coast Amid The Insanity
This week it's been typical seasonal weather. Morning June gloom till sometime between 1100 and 1300, then a patchy sky with the high temperature of either 67, 67, 67, 67, or 67. Evening June gloom starts about 1700 with an overnight temperature of either 57, 57, 57, 57, or 57. The only variable is if the wind peaks at 12 or 15 mph.

Next week same-same.

:headscratch: Is California on a different calendar then the rest of the country?

holysheep.gif Cause it's been July, for the past 24 days, here in the free part of the USA.

Local weather guy says today and the weekend will be “miserable”. He is spot on today. Dew points approaching 80 means it is exceedingly humid and 90.

Yep, here, along the Central Coast, we have varying parts of Spring and Fall, the two best seasons.

Summer's high temperatures and humidity are very, very infrequent. I gladly trade two or three months of missed sunrises, sunsets and moons, for no tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, snow, heavy frosts or freezing, severe thunderstorms, high winds, floods, etc.
