I am also on the Accurate wait list.

The quality of Accurate molds is self-evident. Well worth the wait.
I really don’t mind the wait and it’s been a BIT quicker than expected too. Without a doubt they are second to none in my limited experience, I just love well made things. I will absolutely save up my money and wait to get whatever it is that I really want

Yes sir!!!! A copy of the RCBS, I was actually looking for the RCBS at the time but couldn’t find it so I ordered Tom’s copy of it!!! I’m planning on casting some 45-230L’s for my 45 acp today but I’m thinking of getting this mold hot and casting with it tomorrow

I was all excited when my buddy Big Bird bought the RCBS 45-270-? a few years back for his U.S. Firearms SAA. He gave me a small tub of bullets to try. I loaded up a few and first of all at .452" they were still a smidge fat for my FA97 and they were too damned long for the cylinder. Why oh why do companies do that? Then I tried the 452424 and they are too long by just a couple thousandths!

I thought well heck, I'll shoot 'em up in the Gen 3 SAA oh wait, that has .456" throats. Goldarn goofy miss matched guns vs bullets, the bane of loader/caster's. Currently I am reduced to shooting a 230 grain RNFP Magma sized to .451" in the FA or an ancient Lyman 454309 odd ball full wadcutter with the domed nose. That rascal sized to .451" ridin' 20.0 grains of 4227 will cut 5 over lapping holes at 25 yards from sand bagged rest. But it sure wasn't what I had in mind. That 45-270 looks like I alway thought I'd want to shoot in a .45 Colt.

Things probably all went to hell when we stopped using real gun powder pushing 255 grain soft lead conical shaped horse killers.

I suppose that is the problem we run into with companies like Lyman and RBCS, we are hoping they will drop at the size we want, I had an extremely aggravating experience with Lyman recently, I ordered a 311041 online, received it and it had rough machining on the nose, looked like 3 rings on the nose, I guess the cherry was getting old so months later I buy another copy of the same mold from a different website and it came with the same EXACT rough machining in the same spot.

Interesting that you mention the length, Tom actually specifically mentions that in the catalog

Thanks man. I assumed that was you!;)
Hahaha wasn’t 100% sure, yesterday was messing around at my LGS while he fixed the Vaquero, I need to get off of my ass and do some casting today. Gonna run at least 100 of the 45-230s, I’ll cast more of those NOE .402s tomorrow, I’ve still got flying trash cans casted so I want to have 100 of those loaded for when I get the gp100

I found this cool Linotype on Ebay last week, it’s out for delivery today, considering it isn’t made anymore ( didn’t pay a ton, $40, but still) I may just hold on to it. Looks like one piece says “ Made In USA” so I’ll definitely keep that

Keeping the small “ made in USA” the larger “ Made in America” and a few others. A lot of that is perfect for the pot though

@CWLONGSHOT this Kobalt cart I bought from Lowe’s is fantastic for casting, man. I had a lil folding table but it was awful, I also wanted to show this cake tin I’m using, I found it in my kitchen and it’s been fantastic
