Erik does . . . .

Absolutely, that’s what I’m thinking, buy a mold from Tom and have it sent to get it “ hollow pointed”, sigh, one day ha

Eric's work is top notch. Though expensive. Best for converting discontinued molds. More cost effective to go with MP, right of the bat.

RCBS 44- 300 SWC cast from mold HP and one cavity GC by Eric. Rick owns this mould and graciously let me borrow it.

Gorgeous work, that’s completely understandable. I do want to grab an MP mold just to have a higher volume HP mold than I currently have ( I’ve got a couple Lymans that I DO love) but I’ll have him HP a mold for me bc I like well made things. Maybe a birthday present to myself or something

One Mould was converted to Cramer style HP by Erik Ohlen with gas check shank removed from one cavity, casting one HP GC and one HP PB. Second mould casting both cavities flat point, one plain base, one gas check. Two moulds, four cavities, four different styles of hunting bullets.

Don't own 45 ACP. Hardly ever see pictures of a cast RN in that cartridge. Almost always a TC. The RCBS 125 RN was my go to bullet for the 9 mm.

Not a fan of the 1911 SA auto............being a southpaw doesn't help. I have a Browning HP that's SA and my one and only SA semi automatic centerfire. All my four of my other nines are DAO. Have no use for a safety on a pistol.

Completely understandable, I’m actually a southpaw myself but am right eye dominate so I have literally trained myself to shoot 100% right handed now, I shoot 300-700 rounds in various calibers every weekend, have for months and I’m just beginning to feel completely natural shooting pistols right handed. I’m sure some can switch without issue but it took me some serious ( much needed anyway, I’m not kidding anyone, I’m no Jerry Michulek ) practice

Doing the 77r on a GP100 tomorrow, I’ve got an SP101 but I wanted a revolver better for target practice now that I’m casting. Being in Maryland, I will unfortunately have to wait until next Friday to pick it up

Both of them chambered in 357/38 btw, I’ve got a couple 38 spl bullets and loads I like in my snubbie

That SP101 with it’s crazy heavy trigger was NOT fun to learn to shoot right handed

@CWLONGSHOT definitely an interesting bullet, just the Lee 230 grain but with deeper Lube grooves apparently. A joy to load

I had to make the switch several years ago . So I started out with a right hand 48# recurve ......of course I've never been able wink my left eye . With tremendous effort I got to where I could not open it for maybe 5 seconds unless I shifted focus for about a nanosecond . I just learned to shoot both open .....talk about strange with a scope . I spent my first 40 cross dominate left eyed . A snap shot still lands on the left side in spite of the vision loss it's 20/40 now , so it's not as if I'm blind but the other side is 18/20 .....

It’s not easy, I do shoot with both eyes open but what I was noticing was that when I shot lefty I’d be canting my head so my right eye was in line with the sights so I just had to completely make the change

I agree with That about Eric, he is good though, no doubt in his work.

MP produces one of the finest molds for the cost you will ever buy. One I have sitting on my bench right now is the HG 503 clone in a brass 4 cav HP. It cost me like 160-165 to the door. With all the fees and what not, yes the bank charged me 4.xx for an international purchase, but whatever. Point is all the hardware that comes with and the mold, top punch everything. I honestly don’t see how he sellsthem at that price. And I have 4 bullet designs to cast out of 1 mold. I’ll be adding a few more of his molds to my growing collection before long.

I’ve always been right hand right eye, but I’ve trained myself to shoot a handgun left handed not as good lefty, but I can shoot. Rifle I can shoot left without issue. I honestly think with time and practice you can teach yourself to shoot either or. Now a shotgun wing shooting, can hang that up. That’s too many motor skills going the wrong direction to get right. But I go between both eyes open to one eye it all depends on the day and the light. Putting as many rounds down rage as you are your putting in the practice necessary to make that motor skill a reflex. Keep it up and before you know it it will be natural.
