Looks great!

I have a harbor freight roll around box w a few drawers I am considering making my casting cart. I think there is enough drawer space for my molds but thats deciding factor.

My bench now is a re purposed chop saw bench I made. So tall and narrow. I do want to re model it but lumbar costs have been sky hi. I see them dropping so when my truck gets back I will grab some and hopefully complete over winter if not terrible cold. Gonna be slow with my bad knee.

I seriously hesitate to use too for casting pot. 25# 700degree lead on wheels... aint my idea of a good time. :embarrassed:

I need some soft 200g HP for the 45acp. So thats next cast.

Check out “ Penetrex” for the knee if you haven’t man, I’ve got a couple injuries and that stuff definitely takes the edge off, helps a ton. I’m sure you noticed but I took a cue from you and turned my casting set up into a standing operation, that freaking cart on wheels is fantastic for dropping the sprue and bullets and right now for instance, I have the bullets I’m loading later staged there, I’ve got my load book with all my tested loads written down, in one of the drawers, lead, antimony etc on the bottom like I mentioned. It’s a great addition, I’d try that cart out if I were you, definitely nice have a set up like that

I like the idea for sure. But the pot on top is my issue. If I could integrate the box under a solid bench... Mine was a box I had at job. I was service manager so didnt need ta turn a wrench often so small kit was fine. I installed large wheels for outside uneven ground. So the box is already 3-4" taller then stock wheels.

Oooooh I gotcha, hmmmmmm, well, use what works for ya, the set up you have now seems perfect, I just figured I’d mention the bench, now that I’m actually working at the bench, I’m beginning to learn what works for me, I know it’s definitely different for everyone though

100%. Generally (before this knee) I preferred to stand for all. Now Im forced to sit allot more but have tall benches. So its a bit if a aggravation.

You’ll find your “ happy place “, that’s definitely aggravating though, I need taller chairs at my bench.....

Get a bar stool..............that's what I use at my reloading bench and outdoor casting. My portable casting set up is a Black and Decker Workmate with a piece of OSB clamped on. Nice thing about the Workmate is that it allows for two different heights, depending if folding legs are used. Extended they give 10-12 more inches in height. Everything stores flat, up against the wall, when not in use.

Hey man, that SS is gorgeous!!! That’s a great idea using a bar stool, you can probably find a great one that’ll work perfectly. I’ve also got a pro melt 1 that I was given, I’ve got 30 to 1 in it right now, I’ve got plans to test softer, antimony free lead for my 38 spl HPs

Haven't met a cast bullet yet that my BH's cylinder won't accept. I using MP clone of the SAA or the RCBS 250 SWC PB. Three different pins. Solid, Penta and Conic.

45-270 SSA MP clone.JPG

Even tried commercially cast Bull-X (defunct) 300 grainers. BH accepts at the lower crimp groove.

Ha I still have some of there 300's in 45 before I bought a heavy mold.

Agreed the BH cylinders (not new Vaquero or older short cyl) are very spacious and generally allow longer then sammi lengths.
