Doc switched her arrhythmia med and apparently ordered a loading dose that sent her blood pressure to the basement. She was in pretty tough shape with Systolic in the low 80s and diastolic in the low 50s. Despite being on a diuretic to reduce fluid in the lungs, they had to turn around and hang a bag of fluid to pump her pressure back up.
She may have to wear a defibrillation vest for 2 to 3 months while her heart regains some strength.
Ablation has been mentioned, but not discussed.
Found out her A1C was 8 when we arrived here Thursday afternoon.
30+ years ago my medical knowledge was better than the average layperson. Now I’m struggling to keep up so I can be a good advocate for “She who completes me”.
