Doc switched her arrhythmia med and apparently ordered a loading dose that sent her blood pressure to the basement. She was in pretty tough shape with Systolic in the low 80s and diastolic in the low 50s. Despite being on a diuretic to reduce fluid in the lungs, they had to turn around and hang a bag of fluid to pump her pressure back up.
She may have to wear a defibrillation vest for 2 to 3 months while her heart regains some strength.
Ablation has been mentioned, but not discussed.
Found out her A1C was 8 when we arrived here Thursday afternoon.
30+ years ago my medical knowledge was better than the average layperson. Now I’m struggling to keep up so I can be a good advocate for “She who completes me”.

A1C of 8 isn't good. If I remember correctly anything over 6.5 is where they say you are diabetic. Probably what they made the diabetes diagnoses on. You should ask her questions to see if she didn't have or was ignoring symptoms. Ignoring the symptoms is really easy to do unless your looking for the signs. I ignored it all for 10 years before I was diagnosed and then a lot of things made sense.

You know I have never had much luck with the pocket swadging tools, (ram style) I still have to follow up a lot with a cutter, Now I use the RCBS military crimp remover and it really works good but it kills my hand after a while, I only tried the ram tool because of that. Don't get me wrong the ram tool makes it a lot less demanding on the cutter but I still have to use it, I hate the primers "snapping" in over the remnants of the rams work. I have thought about one of the higher priced ones but the concept is still the same as far as I can tell, anyone have a suggestion? The one I have now I think is an RCBS made one, its for use on a press, damn thing was like 70 bucks I think.

What am I doing? Recovering. The family went to western Ks for opening weekend of pheasant season. Bird population has been down for a few years and wasn't much better this year. Quite a bit of the walk-in areas had been taken out of the program or been hayed, so what was left got hit pretty hard. The 5 of us did manage to bring back 6 roosters and 3 quail after hitting it pretty hard on Saturday with my Son and I taking it a bit easier on Sunday driving to a different area in the futile search for better fields.
Son and younger Grandson with a quail

Both Grandsons and ol Grandpa, 13 year old Ike got the pheasant and a quail on this pass, Grandpa just a quail.

The ol guy got lucky with a fairly tight sitting bird finally. The favored 16 ga SxS Dickinson was at the gunsmiths getting a new mainspring so the old Beretta 686 Sporting 12 made the trip this time.

It's getting harder on an old man to hike through these heavy CRP patches daylight to dark, still my favorite hunting trips with family.

Felt like two days wasted back to back. Saturday rain all day, raw, and nasty. Yesterday was heavy wind, all day and well into the night. Howling, moaning, trees thrashing, lights flickering. Just adding to the ornery feeling.
I did get most of the work done on two long rod ice fishing rods. We fish a lot of shallow water here. One technique is to buzz 20 or 30 holes on a spot and walk amongst them what we call "hole hopping". A lot of us use 4 to 6 ft. long ultra light tubular glass blanks with an HT Stillfish cup reel on the butt. One semi commercial version is called the "Pulsator Rod." Then we thread the 2 or 3#. test line through the inside of the blank and out the tip, through a spring strike indicator. I usually fish a hole from just under the ice to the bottom 3 times and if I don't get a fish I move to the. next hole.
No one builds the rods just the way I like them so I build my own. I am fussy about having cork handles and I want the balance to be just so.
Today I'll remove the line that comes on these reels and replace it with much lighter line, thread it through the blank, add the spring bobber and have them ready to hit the ice.

Gotta love those old Limestone fence posts. I miss getting out on opening day for Pheasants, but as old hunting partners have passed on and my brother lives in KC area, it's a thing of the past. BTW, CRP grass is a killer; I fell over in some one time and never touched the ground.

I am using a Dillion 600. I have the same RCBS that goes into a press as you describe and it also works fine. I had to modify the Dillon as its made
For 223/308 and the 350 case is well 35 cal and wobbles on the 223 designed spud. But easily done.
I have the RCBS BOSS power station and could cut the pockets but I have never been a fan of permanently removing material from a case head. So I prefer swaging over cutting.

Saturday worked in the shop and straighten the house for family to come over for a Birthday get together for Karyn's 73rd. How did that happen, 73. I guess I wasn't paying attention. I'm still 55, have been for awhile now. Go figure.
Had a nice time, made Karyn a set of ear rings with Mercury head dimes which came out nice. Had a second pair of Mastadon Ivory with a scrimshawed flying Eagle done by a couple down in Wasilla. We also did a Zoom call with son Talon and the littles which the entire family on our end participated in. Karyn perked up for the first time in a longtime, really nice to see. All I all a very pleasant evening.

Lots of shop work on the plate for Sunday which just didn't happen. Read books, watched a movie, played cards with Karyn. It's nice having a large long shop as Biscuit and I can play fetch with the tennis ball inside. Outside we lose the balls until spring.

Today I'm going to do the work in the shop that was on the docket for yesterday. I better get started. Well there's still some coffee in the pot, so a slight delay may be in order. Insulating the ceiling in the small third of the shop just doesn't feel like a good time. Did I mention I'm a life member of the Procrastinaters Club. Coffee's getting cold.

Been using a primer pocket cutter since the 60's on surplus LC 06 brass. The cutter was from Herters I understand. Don't have one for small primers so I bought the RCBS swagging kit which I haven't tried out yet, but I need to get after it.
A while ago, 2 years I guess, I was moving into my new reloading casting room and made my self organize before anything went in the room. Good move as the room is not huge. Well I found a second RCBS primer pocket swagging kit as I organized. It was new and unused as well. Lots of enthusiasm for swagging. Well I'll get to it, later. I think.

I organized my molds! (Most)
I bought this large "HUSKY" plastic box. Its a two level box with 12 2x3x4" deep sections. Top level covers bottom. Top is 9 2x3 but 2" deep boxes with three open areas for longer items across the front. Its Grey Clear and Black. With a HD swing up handle. Its 100% filled. Top "cubicles" nicely fir two dbl Lyman or RCBS sized molds each. (So three singles plus) Bottom fits 3 or 4 cav Accurate/Arsenal/NOE molds 2 each! But won't fit 5cav or larger at all. (So no LEE 6cav or two cav with handles attached)

I need to take pics but MUCH BETTER then the card board boxes I was using! I have a bag of those desiccant pouches coming.

Pretty happy! I just need to find better for all the LEE and LARGE NOE/Accurate/Arsenal molds now.

Today is our 58th wedding anniversary.
Today is also the last day that we can walk in at restaurants . Take out only after today.
We will go out to dinner.
Our governor here in Oregon has put us into another lock down for 2 weeks. We know she will extend it after the 2 weeks.

Wow 58 years. Congratulations.

Will most likely extend it past Christmas. Daughter lives in Oregon and that's what they are assuming.

Yesterday, at the advice of my Financial Adviser to call the IRS, I spend 1 Hr and 51 Min on the phone with the IRS, seeking a definition of the phrase "if you experience adverse financial consequences"...only to get the Answer that my assumption may be correct, but I should keep watching the IRS website for updates.

I guess a warm spell is headed to southern MN, should be 35º and sunny here by Noon...I think a Range visit with the Dan Wesson is in order.
near 50º tomorrow, but windy...low 50s and calm on Thur...that's Tee-shirt weather :p ...I might drag out the Savage 243 on Thur.

Oh the best laid plans......Forecast for opening day, rain mixed with snow, high of 42. I don't have any ammo loaded for my "dirty weather" rifle.
