When I seen the title of the post, I was all excited, thought it was going to be something on a new BPCR, boy was I ever wrong.

FNs leave me cold. A SIG would be OK but is a bunch more $.

The S&W and SA autoloaders just leave me cold. Don’t even get me started on the ugly ass autos Ruger makes.

A Glock is no beauty Queen but they are not ugly either. At least not entirely ugly.

Sorry Ian, there is something about the appearance that just leaves me a bit cold.
And a fanboi? That one hurts a bit. Now S&W and Ruger revolvers, those are my real love.

There are many ways to spruce up a Glock. Slides of various colors, texturing, different/interesting cut outs, fluted and/or colored barrels, external controls. Just go to the Glock store etc. Bound find something that will allow to you match your Glock to your wardrobe.

Not sure if some of them remind me of an AR, a low rider in East LA, or a drag queen beauty contest.

Have nothing against Glocks. Shot a few of them. Compacts in 9mm and 40 S&W. They fit my hand but never purchased one. Own Browning, Sig, Beretta, Kahr and Springfield Armory.............. all in 9mm.

They are a tool. Each one has a use, many overlap.

The funny part to me is you'll are writing about 9mm's !
Remember reading about what was going on with the Moro's and how 38 Specials would not stop them ?
But at least you do carry something.

Now there you go trying to start another debate ;)

There's a bit of a difference between a .357" diameter, 158 grain lead round nose bullet going 800 fps and a .355", 125 grain jacketed hollowpoint going 1100+ fps.

For all practical purposes, 9mm bullet diameter is about the same as 38/357 class. Velocity wise, it falls between a 38 and a 357 Magnum. Slimmer package for CC if carrying a single stack and offers a couple of more rounds, for the spray and pray aficionado's.

Now someone is going to bring up bullet weight. With the 38/357 having the advantage in the heavier weight class. I beg to disagree. The 125 JHP has a better track record, for one shot stops, over the 45 ACP................for many many years. That was before the improvement of available factory ammo for the nine.
