My wife was never much for semi-autos, until she fired a friends Sig P365. She went down on her and bought one and made it very clear to me that it is hers. I have shot 380s and 9x18 Makarovs, to be completely honest the felt recoil on the 365 is not much more than either the 380 or the Makarov, and.... not much more than a standard sized 9mm, extremely pleasant to shoot. Size, controlability and shooting comfort there is nothing not to like.

I will say one thing about Sig's P365 SAS.... what a piece of ..... Bought one a few months after my purchased her standard 365. At 5yds the point of impact was 4" left, was not just me, had a least a half dozen experience shooters give a try. Same result. Called and emailed Sig customer service, the standard for the 365 SAS is to hit a full size human silhouette at 5-7 yards "somewhere" (still have the email from Sig). Just hitting it is good enough, somewhere between the appendix and left ear. Heck at 10yds it would be entirely possible to miss the target with a center hold. Had the SAS/POS less than 6 months, good by and good riddance.

Every manufacturer release a lemon, once in a while. I had to look up the SAS version. :headscratch: Could be the type of non conventional sighting system it uses, is the problem. I have a P320 RX compact that I'm satisfied with. The only improvement, over their (Romeo 1) motion activated micro reflex, would be the much pricier Trijicon. IMO. I have two of their motion activated Romeo 5 red dots. One on my X-bow , the other on on my Rossi 357 Lever.

Nice shootin, CW. That micro dot, helps a lot..........big fan of them.
Thank you!

This is a circle dot too very fine center & green. I do really like it. Wanted it on my g35 but the rmr on there is a 8min. So too big for anything but a speed shooter. (The G35 is my plate/pin gun.)

Would you mind elaborating a little more on the make and model of your sights on this gun?

Our ex-gov Perry didn't have trouble with a yote and 380, in town on a walk (stalking his dog). When that big cat was licking the bean can under my camper in Red River, all I had was a 380 Star which I figured would be enough. Bears were a different story.

Hard to keep track of all the different offerings, lately. The gun rags don' t cover much but AR's and 1911's. My G&A multiple year subscription, just expired this month. I'm not renewing it. Feel the same way about the American Rifleman.

Many consider the RMR to be the "king". This Swampfox was one that used same footprint and strived to "unseat" the "king".

Its good... RMR is still better. ( but costs nearly 3x)

Makes you wonder who the hell makes up product names.
Focus groups of people so unlike us that names they come up with detract from our desire to even investigate that product.

As a former F&I reenactor the only firearms related product to carry the Swamp Fox name on it should have a flint lock.

I could care less what they call it as long as I get my moneys worth out of it.

Never heard of that brand before but I also haven’t really researched the various red dots. I will certainly keep them in mind,

I looked at & use many red dots for decades now and have a number of them. I feel the Swamp Fox brand is/are at least as good as anything else in there genre, better than many not as good as some. Otherwise a solid choice.

I now have two SwampFox dots. This Kingslayer was my first. Its greed circle dot reticule was first attraction second was excellent feedback and last ly they offered me a substantial discount.
Its been on two firearms but not for issues just for options. I would have liked this on a third gun but its shape (base) altho fits RMR base its shape is slightly larger and the milling in this slide was done before universal mounting was common as today.

Later, I had need for another and looked at Swamp Fox again. They offer a number of optics so I looked at the newer models from my KSlayer and found the Liberty & Justice models. Same footprint but different shape and the lenses. The Liberty is more conventional but 22mm wide. The Justice is slightly taller and 27mm wide so one of the larger screens/lenses. Both are or have a steel "wrap" offered for utmost in durability. But not attached to save weight if this isnt needed. These models have the "shake awake" technology combined with very very long battery life. Making for peace of mind when used as defensive site.

Here is a video on the Kingslayer

Here is one on the Liberty/Justice

Hope it helps,

Last three red dot's I purchased were Sig Sauer branded with the shake awake feature. I don't care to mess with on/off buttons. Ideally, I don't like to fiddle with rheostats, either. Trijicon spoiled me that way. Been using red dots since the early 80's, way before they became popular.

Started with Armson OEG's, sold and supported by Trijicon. Had/have at least a half dozen on handguns, shotguns and bows. Four minute dot with fully automatic operation. No batteries, no buttons, no rheostat. Re-lamping required after ten years or more. Trijicon discontinued them and the re-lamping. They are still operable except for very low light. Dedicated to plinking/target practice, now.

After that, I started using Trijicons full size reflex sights on carbines. Have both the Special Forces one minute dot as well as the discontinued chevron. Since then they went to the current triangle.

That's a Armson OEG on the Redhawk, in Kimber double lever rings. Mount is low enough to use the express open sights, when sight is removed...........doesn't affect holster fit, either.
