Seriously, I read somewhere that the aborigines in Austrailia would huddle with the dogs to stay warm and that's how they'd describe how cold a night it was, by the number of dogs one slept with. That's supposedly how the band got its name.
In our house, it would be cats, but somehow, "Three Cat Night" doesn't have that ring to it.
I can attest that a pile of cats on your chest while you're in bed does indeed provide measurable warmth.
Agreed. Joy to the World is one of those universally recognized songs, just say "Jeremiah was a bullfrog" and people start singing along.I've read the same about both Aborigines and Eskimos and don't know for sure which one is the real one, but I know a fella who makes tent stoves and calls his shop "Four Dogs" in reference to how cold it gets where he lives.
Three Dog Night was some good tunes though.
Draw blood.Kind of canine related...

Well, you must not have been a teenager from 1960 -1964. Every kid in the Midwest wanted to go to California and go surfing.I'd pay decent money to see Three Dog Night and America. Would have left after that, always thought the Beach Boys were about the most over rated band ever.
Saw 3Dog Night once had to sit through them and America to see the Beach Boys with John Stamos on drums ....... I miss August in Reno .
Humorous as that is, I'd have gone to seee a line up like that. I do regret never having gotten to see Merle Haggard. We did go see Blue Oyster Cult, Winter of 88 or 89, so they were old and past their day even then. They showed up to play in some dump in Lawton, Oklahoma (a dump in and of itself, but that's a story for another time). I was surprised a venue like that, but I seem to recall they put on a decent show.I saw three dog night, Merle haggard and blue oyster cult playing together once.
Those were some good drugs!
