Probably a good idea for the vehicle, especially if both involved in crash. However, EMT will do what they do in that circumstance anyway.
Here it is family/spouse decision when needed. I've been asked by hosp. if I had one (DNR), gave/give authority to heron the spot. When her mom passed and EMT called, they did ask if there was a DNR. Nope, but she said don't do it, verbal order by relative.
I had heart stop several times during surgery, they waited for a restart and it happened. Did wake up when they were ordering blood - guess it was for immediate open heart job? Lasted about a min, then back to nap.

Got the workbench cleaned and sorta organized for loading/casting and leatherwork. We moved to central Idaho in April and in the attic/upstairs storage room there is already a workbench and window waiting for me. I haven’t got any presses mounted yet, thinking about some sort of mount that I can remove easily for the presses and lubesizers. Any great ideas/designs you guys use for too many presses in a limited space?

Took the doors off the kitchen larder, removed the hardware and painted both sides of them, removed the four shelves and painted the interior, removed the old shelving paper and out down new. Tomorrow it'll be under the sink and its two doors. My knees aren't looking forward to all the downing and upping.

Loaded two boxes of .357 Mag. with Lee's 358-158 RF and 13.5-grains of 2400, for the New Vaquero and
Rossi 92/EMF Hartford sporting rifle. I lucked out that that combination likes the same load. Loaded 25 test rounds for the .38 Special Uberti 1866 sporting rifle.

Hospitals and Hospice usually ask for a living will, which is the document that spells all this stuff out. I believe they have standard forms you can fill out and sign.

I keep telling myself, the last thing I need to do is buy another gun. I'm getting ready for the gunshow this weekend, and get an email from a friend asking questions about what I'm putting on the table. He tells me he is coming and wants to sell a pistol. He casually mentions about selling a couple 22LR rifles and maybe the CZ527 (223rem) that I sold him 7 years ago, but he doesn't want to carry them around the show.

I reply to him, (reiterating) the last thing I need is to buy another gun, but then I ask what is he asking for the 527. I really liked that 527, as it was a bug hole shooter with jacketed bullets. He says he'd probably sell it to me for what he paid me for it. Now, he takes care of his stuff, so I assume it's in the same condition as it was 7 years ago.

Below is photos I took of that gun 10 years ago, she's got a stock that's a beauty to look at. Back then, I loved that burris target scope, so I pulled it off before I sold the rifle. Today, I'm not a fan of that burris scope, I have it on another gun, but would swap it off that gun if I found the right scope to do so. For this 527, I'm thinking a low power scope would suit my needs best, maybe a 2x-7x ?

Anyway, if things go as planned, I should have this in my grubby little hands before the weekend is over.

i use up and down to mount stuff close together. [stands next to flat mounted]
other guys build a shelf to store stuff on, and use a plate system to put what they wanna use in place.

more on the edge of town, my road had none of this nonsense [curb, gutter, etc.] until they started this whole mess.
the street i'm on dead ends 2-3 houses down [depending on what side of the street you count] in about 9 miles of sagebrush and grass before hitting the bear river.


today they come built a sort of ramp so i could get my truck and trailer out.
i backed the car across my neighbors lawn and clear down to the other neighbors driveway to get it out.
i brought it back in part way tonight and stopped to check right where the approach starts dropping off and i'm glad i did, there's about 1" before i hit bottom or maybe 1' of forward travel.
i'm gonna leave it there and let them see in the morning.

i feel bad for the construction workers.
i'm pretty sure everyone on the street has gone out and had words with them except for the one 83/85? y.o. lady that can't get out of her house.

i'm afraid he was given his this is what I want orders and he took the measurements and drew something up.

i have to laugh at some of the stuff they've done.
today they went down the street and rototilled up the lawns behind the curbing.
then they dumped some half rock half dirt mix behind them and sloped up the last 3 feet of every ones lawn to match the curb height.
it looks ridiculous.
flat lawns for 30 foot then a slope going up about a foot high to the curb.
i mean comeonman every single person on our side of town is retarded and just sloped their lawn up the last couple of feet?

they stopped at my place with the tiller and it kind of looks like they intend to till up between my rail road ties and the curb then put turf down.
i'm like ohFno,,,, who would just put 2 tiers of ties 3 foot away from the curbing all the way across their yard, then step it out 3 more feet, 8 foot away from their driveway??

Looked @ truck last evening after rain and OMG the acorns that are on the ground!!! I can hardly walk its like marbles!!! I might try and fill a 5 gal pail for the stand...

There have been several ideas floated in the past for this. Some guys used wood to make a sort of dovetailed assembly where you could slide the tools in and out. Others used things like a truck receiver hitch that, again, you could slide the tools out of or into and pin in place. Simple answer is 1/2" carriage bolts and wing nuts to hold down a heavy plywood base the tool is attached to. Make it large enough to handle the foot print of your biggest one and have at it.

Man! And I'll bet the guy that did all the engineering has a buncha degrees from the years he spent at college but any farmer or local highway crew guy leaning on a shovel could have told him it wouldn't work!!!!

Had to make a run to the county seat yesterday. Picked up my Bobcat part, found out the bottom half of a double hung window I took to the glass shop 2 weeks ago still isn't done (it was 38F here last night!) and got to stop into the big indoor flea market. Picked several more Louis L'Amour novels, a very nice Disston handsaw I've been looking for for 25 years, (I'll try to find a pic) and 2 8oz cans of Dupont #5 pistol powder! No clue what I'll, if anything, I'll do with the #5, but just looking at the old cans gives me some weird satisfaction.

Lamar and Bret, good ideas. I will probably go with the plywood bases attached with carriage bolts and wing nuts. The dovetailed option sounds slick but I don’t have that much heavy plywood on hand and cash is tight these days. Need to get going on some leather projects and get them out the door.
