supposed to be first day of fall, nope. Started painting 8, quit at 10, paint was pretty thick. Finished the patio area! Yea!. She goes in Mon morn for cardio sonic check of abdomen, hopefully no problems. Son is still on pic line for infection, 2 wks to go. If they don't kill it off, doc says surgery (again) to clean and probably knee replacement in 5 yrs. One of his kids messed up and ankle playing soccer, bad sprain so crutches another week. I keep warning him it will come back to bite him but you can't tell kids much.

It's been 24 hours since my surgery. Haven't needed to take any pain pills to sleep. Unless I touch the actual place where my Dr made his incisions it simply doesn't hurt. Can't use my left hand to do much, I'm going to kick back and watch TV for a couple days.
Great to hear you got thru with a minimum of pain.

As I remember it wasn't awefully painful. But depends how much they have ta cut. My right incision was small maybe just over 1" but the left went from palm into wrist over two inches. It bother me allot more. Therapy was squishy balls then those grip/strength spring squeezers. I quite when I could do fingers stuck in holes in ends of grip.
I know I took pain pills @ bed just because sleep is so important. But I wont take narcs unless forced.

Even this bypass they gave to me some in hospital but I told them do not prescribe. I wont fill or take. Tylenol was all I used and mostly only @ bed time or real uncomfortable times. It dosent do much but takes the edge off enough for rest.

Glad its not too painful.

The bench mounts .
My presses don't play nice as far as sharing bolts goes . The other "use it now and again tools" are set up on T nuts and counter sunk screws . The screws go back in the holes when not in use to keep the top flat . It's handy with 6 shot shell presses with 4 different foot prints . It works out well for the trimmers ,
powder measures , canlure tool , lubesizers , and the light Partner press now dedicated ram prime tool .
It could be used as set up also if your presses share depth and 2 bolt mount using a 3 bolt right/left of fixed point or a 5 bolt line for those that might be just wide enough or narrow enough to not play well .

I also have done a portable set up for the Momma gets a break let's size , flare , other wise mindlessly prep 1600 cases in 2 days one at a time , I almost miss 2 sets of dies in a 4 hole Lee press , days I put a T pad on each end of a 4" wide strip of plywood and made a semi permanent mount for the Multi Power 'C' and a similar arrangement for the other end for the Lyman 45 . It reaches across a breakfast bar with the lubesizer and press making ends to hug the edges sort of . Initially a peanut butter jar full of shot was enough ballist but I had to occasionally put a hand on it for fat cases and under lubed necks . I added a single "C" clamp on the working end and it's good to go .

An alternate would be to fix presses on an 8" plate of any sort and install 3-5 T nuts and make all of the base plates one pattern .

Made my lube with Cocoa butter Vaseline. It smells great.
The dog keeps trying to get into it now. Was actually begging for it, when I was bagging it up.
Guess I am going to have make sure I do not leave it or any bullets I have lubed with it, laying around.

Dang man! I will keep your son in my prayers. He sure has had a tough time of it. I better stop there before I start ranting...

As usual, I didn't get anything close to all my list done. But, I did get the Massey 65 PTO clutch adjusted and it WORKS! That was one of those, "I've never done it and I'm afraid I'll screw something up" jobs that I put off for well over a year. The guy who I PAID to do the job was confronted and said, "Huh, that shouldn't have happened." Well no feces Sherlock! I wasn't trucking all the way back to his place, so there it was. Honestly, it was dead simple and I shouldn't have over thought it to death. My own darn fault.

I spent most of the day trying to figure out why my hydraulic pump wouldn't quite line up with the engine on the Bobcat. In the end, it's one solid steel hydraulic pipe that is a heavy half inch too short for the replacement engine. I'm going to have the local parts store make me up a hose about 5/8" longer and see if that doesn't fix it. I wish there was a way to make it adjustable or so it would "give" a little, but I can't see a way. It's just 3/4 black iron pipe, more or less anyway, but I just don't see a way to get it to stretch! Hydraulic hose is the most likely to work answer I see.

While I was out I got a text from guy who had a gas driven air compressor I've been after. Ended up getting it for about 25% of what it's worth. Only down side is he put a tiny hole in one of the 2 tanks trying to load it whn he jammed it into the seat belt mount in her Jeep. The one semi pointy solid thing in the back of the Jeep and he dead centered it! I'm pretty confident it will weld up easily. It's an Emglo, which is a pretty decent name and has a Honda engine. I'm happy!

Painted one side of the two doors of the under-the-counter cabinet, touched up its interior walls, put down new shelf liner on the floor and shelf, and put down new liner paper in its two drawers. The other side of the doors and the drawers only need some touch up, so that's on tomorrow's list along with touching up and relining the cabinet's other four drawers.

Was just watching a heck of a light show taking place in central/southern MO about 60 miles No. of the MO/AR border. Clouds moving west to east and lightning bolts every second or so. Few of them reaching ground. Looked like something out of a tornado chasers movie. WOW!

went to Pokie with Littlegirl and the G-daughter.
at about 18 months old the kid has more personality than almost anyone i know, she will intentionally start stuff with me just so we can get into a 'boxing' match.
when she starts putting more words and finally sentences together she is gonna be a hand full.
ended up buying more junk than i intended to, but [shrug] it's food.

oh i bought a can of Ice Tea today called black and white, never seen it before and probably won't see it again, but if you run across it and like sweet tea but not the tannic after taste or like it not too sweet that's the stuff.
i gave the kid some and didn't even get a drink out of the can before she threw her cup at me demanding more,,,now.
i was like okay,,okay.

Tis my opinion that MO is a good place for such things. Was loading a buck in my cart for the neighbor and thought I heard thunder, a long way off though.

Despite it being the weekend, I got my truck back last evening and I just had to go fishing today. My wife was away and my other regular fishin' partner was not available, but I do not mind fishing alone or hunting alone for that matter. But weekends, doggoneitallanyway. I got to the ramp where I wanted to fish and there were no parking spots left and the trucks towing boats just kept coming. Plan B another 20 miles up river and that lot was almost full also, but it has a lot of parking so I was able to squeeze it there.

No crowding on the water though at there is a very large area to fish with a lot of productive water. Started out slow, foggy, misty, kinda cold. The water temp was 63.5° and it felt warmer than the air until about 2 pm when the sun finally started to peek out. I kept two meals of yellow perch and two sheepshead for tacos or blackened fish. Felt good to be on the water and to have my truck back.

Got everything done, fish cleaned, boat put away, truck put away and it started to rain. Then we had thunder and lightning. Seems too cold for a T-Storm at 61° but it was. Pork quesadillas for Supper, delightful. Best of all my Honey got done with her class and came home a day early.

I sure wish that I had learned to cook when I was young.
Oh well, another new challenge to keep my mind sharp.
Well, as sharp as an 80 YO mind can be.:)
Anyone smart enough to cast bullets and reload can cook. It's an Art & Science after all with plenty of recipes available.

Actually, I don't recall smoke alarms in the dorm, back in the early 70's. I do recall that the building was entirely cinder block ( interior walls), cement(ceilings) and exterior brick construction. Not much that would burn.

They did that because of all of the hot coeds.

:headscratch: Dorms weren't coed, back when I was a freshman. Started a couple of years later. I lived in apartment, after my freshman year................ I couldn't survive on cafeteria food. Coffee wasn't even drinkable. BTW, freshmen were required to live in dorms!
