we had the annual car show come through town today, spent like 2 hours walking through it all and talking to some of the cars owners I know.
yep..
I did get the rest of the pergola framed and the roof on.
had I not forgot the lattice the other day I would have finished it.

now I'm sitting here waiting for everyone to decide what I want to do for fathers day tomorrow.

I want to go scope out a few new spots looking for petrified wood and agates. Less than a 30min drive from here.

I just finished up a work stop for use with 5C collets. Took some time to figure hints out but it looks like it will work.
No photos yet.

Shot a little .308 cast this morning. We took the Indian out for a burger and a PBR and an Angry Orchard cider, about 125 miles. Came home Sue mowed the .22 range while I did an oil change on the Indian. Then you need to ride some more to check for leaks right? Then 25 rounds through the 513 on 4" squares before supper. And now a spiced dried mango chocolate truffle and a couple of fingers of bourbon. Any wonder why I don't like change?

I rarely drink but all this talk about bourbon after a long day...

It took me all day to get that short run of fence stretched and tied off, had to clamp and pull every wire between stretcher bar and corner post and fight the tie-off point of the single-wire stretcher to get the knot tied. My hands are SORE. Wifey had to drive when we went out to supper, currently still stuffed from a nice plate of carne al pastor.

Looks a good bit like fried clams from HoJo in the old days. No clue what that actually is, Ian, but it
looks good.
Very good looking job, Brad. Was there a particular need that caused that "fix"? I don't seem to do
enough of the same stuff to warrant that, as nice as it is.

Before I had both of my arthritic knees replaced, I lived on Celebrex. There was no Generic, then. Must have taken it for 15 years. Started when there was a breaking story on the news about links to heart issues. There use to be three different meds. Can't remember the name of the other two. The one I started with, began with the letter P. (Brad, probably knows) They took all three off the market, for a short time. Celebrex was the only one to return. Capsules came in two dosages 100 and 200 mg. I had a script for 200 mg but had the doctor write it for 100 mg, twice a day. This way I could take a smaller dose on good days and still be able to double up, to the maximum dose, if need be.

I suffered no ill effects from Celebrex and highly recommend it. Cindy, occasionally took some of my Celebrex, when her back would ache. I've been off it for almost four years. But next month doctors visit, I'm going to ask for a script for my aching shoulders.

Vioxx and Bextra were the 2 drugs pulled from the marketplace. Celebrex doesn’t have the same risk so it was left in he marketplace.
It is always about the risk/benefit decision.
Makes me remember my “favorite” ad by a legal firm. If you suffered permanent hair loss due to the use of this chemotherapy drug for breast cancer you may be owed a financial reward. Wait a second, you are suing because the drug that saved your life caused permanent hair loss? Doesn’t death do pretty much the same thing?

Don't get me started on ambulance chasers. If they had any integrity all of their TV commercials would start and end with . . .

Remember, the more you suffer the richer I can become.

Thanks, Brad......it was Vioxx. Failing memory. :sigh:

I hate to take meds, but sometimes you just need to make it through the day. Doctor prescribed Celebrex, because he didn't want me taking NSAIDS, with resulting stomach issues, from long term use.

I averaged 14 pain pills, for both knee operations. Didn't take any for the two hernia surgeries.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Got little stuff done yesterday. Skid steer won't stay running though. It starts once in a while for a second or 2. Fouling plugs. I wasn't running it when it started acting up so I don't know if I'm not being told something. Could be as simple as a bad battery. Got a mess of stuff to do today.
