Just got back home from Colorado. Good visit with nieces, one hubby and 5 kids. Shooting, swimming
and dune climbing, gator farm and snowball fights. And a couple of visits from a black bear. Had not
seen one in the last 24 yrs, saw him a couple of times over the vacation. Fortunately, no problems.

It’s a four gallon backpack sprayer. I have A LOT of gravel area at my house. Lots of weeds in that gravel.

Don't you just hate greenery in a driveway? Just keeping a piece of property well maintained is a full time job!

Luckily I don’t have a gravel drive. Not sure how well snowblowers do on gravel.

Snowblowers I don't know. Now an 8 ft. Western plow mounted on the front end loader of a Kubota tractor will put enough gravel on the edges of the lawn to create a whole additional planned recreation come Spring.

Couple of week ago, I ran the string trimmer (Echo) for almost four hours, cutting the UTV trails on my 57 acres.

:headscratch: Did some mention a lot of gravel. I have gravel completely round the perimeter of a 4000+ square foot house, not counting the 3 1/2 car attached garage, several hundred foot of road that splits the property in half with a drive off that, to the new 24 x 26 detached garage. I stay ahead of the weeds by spraying weekly. Monday, I had 17 ton of crushed base delivered and half spread. Rest was dumped in a large pile. Spread that pile, the rest of the week, using a wheelbarrow.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Spent about an hour heating and beating on a 2"x4" solid steel dozer arm yesterday. Even the 12lbs sledge wouldn't budge it. Went though most of a 5 gallon tank of propane on the monster weed burner trying to move the pin and got nowhere with that either. I guess it's just gonna stay slightly bent. If I could have gotten the pin out that's been there since '56, I could have maybe straightened the beam in my 20 ton press. Oh well, not like I'm doing fine grading anyway. Thought about building a rig to let me try a hydraulic jack to push the pin out but it's just not that big a thing. If I want to angle that side I can just drive it with the sledge.

Rain, rain, rain. Getting really late for hay. They found a neighbor on his milk room floor yesterday. Incoherent, but breathing. The farm is selling out and they figure the stress triggered "an event" and he seized up. He's home and recovering. He's 50 or 51! Not good.

One cat to the vet, she seems to have developed a growth on her gums we were not aware of.
Now we are off to get a brisket for the smoker

My right knee has been extremely bothersome, the last three weeks, and many of my activities have been eliminated or reduced. Saw the knee doc, yesterday, and it's osteoarthritis along with the possibility of a slight meniscus tear. He gave me a prescription for generic Celebrex, but I don't like what I read about its possible side effects and won't be taking it.

Just more evidence that my body is older than my mind thinks it is.

I resemble that remark.

I don't take a lot of what they prescribe, look it up on WebMD and read the side effects. Had a script last year that had 57 possible side effects listed for it. Huh? 57? The least serious of which was vomiting and they ranged from there to blindness to death. Obviously you'll not have all 57 but logic says that with that many your gonna have a few. Didn't even fill the script. Perfect example of the medicine worse than the disease.

A bit on side effects. Anything seen during clinical trial in humans, and I mean anything, is listed as a possible side effect. If someone becomes pregnant then pregnancy would be listed as a side effect.
You need to look at the rate of incidence of the various potential side effects and then compare them to the rate of incidence of same side effect reported by people on the placebo.

That settles it, I'm gonna' take the stuff, get pregnant, get rich, buy some rifles that are as pretty as Ben's, then check out of society.

The delivery is gonna be painful. And no, I don’t want to see the video.
