State has closed down all our public ranges
My state too.
That would be a major downer for me also.
Might need to find a private range. If you have not already
.
I got lucky here when I discovered a small private Sportsman Club in the next town. 200 people.
Costs 50 bucks per year and 10 hours of work a year for a family to have free reign on 50 acre, with a naturally stocked creek running thru the middle.
We are exempt because of Ohio's golf course exemption, we just can not gather in the club house.
So we will probably be spending a bit of time there the next few weeks, if the weather permits.

Was just piddeling around with my lee disk drop and a double disk kit, and got it dropping 25.4 grains of H335. Within .1 grain every time.
Had some Sierra#1370 that I found while organizing.So.....Right now getting set up to do a small run of 100 - 63 grain Sierra .223.

The deer lease is three hours from my house and at current gasoline prices, I can drive there and back for $35.00.
The local range is twenty minutes away and is $20.00 a day for me to shoot. X2 if the wife goes, so $40.00 plus $3.00 for gas.
Cheaper to go to the deer lease, just 6 hours on the road.

Dooky and a shower ....... Might need that shirt later on .

I told someone as little as 30 yr ago cloth diapers were a thing .
Those Walmart cotton washcloth seconds shop rags ought to be the thing with some 1974 super pail protocols .
:)

Loaded 300 rounds of 38 special and 100 of 9mm. Once I find the right load for he new 9mm bullet I will load more.
Made a bench block from a 24” long by 3” diameter piece of Delrin I got off eBay. A single 45° V groove and a couple holes for driving pins. Got plenty more to make some specialized blocks when needed.
Delrin machines so easily and cuts so smooth.

Loaded about 200 rounds of .223 with 65 gr Game Kings. Then I found a broken bushing on my powder measure and got shut down until I find a replacement. Dillon still hasn't shipped the order I placed with them last week. I may have to adapt, improvise, and overcome.

I shouldn't whine too much, I bought the press in the mid '80s. It's a pretty simple flanged bushing, I could make one on my drill press if necessary.

Finished the pot of lead I was casting into 260283 plain base for the 25-20 this morning. Guessing on around 1k of them to go with at least that many already on the shelf. Probably last me several years. Got out this afternoon with the 1911 shooting at the 30 yard gong off the back deck using 200 gr swc over 5.2 HP-38. Wasn't my day for great shooting so I hunted up a cardboard box and set it at 10 yards with a sticker on it. Pounded that sticker pretty hard after making an adjustment to the sight, hadn't fine tuned it enough after switching from 230tc at full velocity. The yard is so soaked up I guess I'll tell the wife I was digging a goldfish pond when she sees the hole behind the box.

Microfiber shop rags...moisten with warm water.

HarborFreight likes to give four of them away with a purchase.
Menards often has 10 packs on rebate, ends up free.
Walmart has the best ones, yellow and blue, outlast all others.

Post a dimensional drawing and maybe I can make one for you. Or Bug Brad, he's a lot closer.
Thank you for the offer Ian, but I just ordered one online a little bit ago. After I pull the bullets from the last batch I'll finish them up on the single stage. At least I was only about 30 or so rounds in before I noticed something felt wrong and started watching it really closely until I caught it messing up.

loaded @ 700 .357 today. NOE 360-180-WFN. Nine grains of Blue Dot. Some Hp, some DP, some Fp. The rifle likes the DP version the best so won’t be casting the Hp or Fp’s anymore. Two less containers to store.

Went to the east side again for a sage rat shoot.
Got in 5 this year.
I need to reload my sage rat ammo.
I also need to get serious about loading more 45ACP. The grand kids bought a Kimber 1911 and are burning through a lot of ammo.
The grandson bought a lb. of 231 and a 1000 LP primers so that will help.
I`ve been loading them with 700X but I think the 231 will meter better through the Lil Dandy..

Another pot full of 170 & 185gr (same mould) for the 30/30. Sorted last nite. If bored (lockdown) some 145 for the BO. If/when it dries out, PC them.

Last year, I acquired a old and Stubborn 358156 I'd like to cast a large batch with it ...maybe I'll leement it today?
My test casts show that my fairly large stash of thin Lyman GC's fit it well.

Got a rude awakening this morning. Got a call from work to come in my off day for a couple hours today. Had to help with" retooling"as they say.

We had to make some changes to the lab so as to heard the cattle that come thru, so to speak. We are going full blast starting Monday at midnight.
That and got noticed that the vacation I took for my cataract surgery, next week, (was going to get my worst eye done this year) has been canceled. But also the doc has let me know my surgery has been put on hold any way.

Apparently we provide all the metal for 2 major medical suppliers, one who has a "Coved 19" Mask contract. So will be working for the cause so to speak.
