I must be whipped! Here you guys are loading and shooting and I'm still working off the wifes "Honey Do List".
Got the shower unit set today and letting the Lexel set before sheet rocking. No leaks in the plumbing (all copper), and unit fit pretty well. Getting it in and out in a small basement bathroom is always fun. My son needed to learn some residential install (He is a journeyman Boilermaker) because we will probably be building him a house in a couple years. I built a little Oak inset shelving unit (22"x31"), to work as a removeable access panel for the shower plumbing, which is next to the sink, plumbing wall divides shower unit and sink. Stained "Early American Oak, and will varnish first coat tomorrow. Figure to make and stain the trim to match. The wife was showing me pictures of plant stands and flower boxes in one of her "craft" magazines! Maybe I'll cast some bullets Saturday or Sunday, just to spite her!
Spring is officially here. I drug the hose out and sprayed the dog kennels out. Still have to disconnect it at night for awhile, because it froze my pond hard last night, and of course Cash thought he could walk on it, but it was shallow enough he could climb out. The little fart has to learn everything the hard way!

Rally - don't feel whipped/bad! Been helping the wife cover group home staffing. Had thought work would be slow and I could 'goof off.' NOPE!

Just began “The Purge”. This is an event that occurs every 3-5 years where I discover numerous bins of bullets already cast and lubes that I am no longer using. These are taken to the garage and dumped in a 5 gallon bucket for melting back into ingots.
In 15 minutes I hauled 100-125 pounds to the garage. This also emptied many storage vessels long needed.

Have any of you conducted “The Purge” on your loading area?

yep.
still got stuff pushed to the back of the shelf.
it's kind of weird findin a 5-600 count box of bullets you don't have the mold for any longer, but now have 2 more guns that will shoot them.
your like eeeah do I load them or dump them.
what if they now shoot good then what.

I also have an annual or bi-annual throw it away day.
I just wander around all day rummaging through stuff looking for things to throw in the garbage.
I kind of run down a check list before deciding to toss stuff.
1 did it cost more than 100$
2 can I replace it if I need it
3 is it mine [well that is more like number-10 in my considerations, it's in my house so of course it's mine]
4 is it broke
5 when is the last time I even used this/
6 how many of them do I have, three or more means one is going over to Littlegirls house and one is probably garbage.

Just reading theough the DHS guidelines for "essential employees":
  • Workers supporting the operation of firearm or ammunition product manufacturers, retailers, importers, distributors, and shooting ranges.
So if they closed your range or gun store.......

Purge:
Mine happens every August, as I'm planning for the local annual Sept gunshow.
A couple years ago, I did a large bullet purge. That year, I sold most all my 44 stuff and all my 500S&W stuff, so I had years of bullets cast for those two calibers...many weren't lubed. So I have 5 coffee cans of bullet sized ingots, LOL, that I've been using. I did save the popular style lubed/sized bullets in those two calibers, just in case ;) but I boxed up the sealed jars and stored them in a different location, only to be found by my daughter when she has to clean up my house after I die.

Shelter in Place:
So, I'm at Day 6 (Minnesota's Order to Stay at home), I'm seeing on FB and the forums of all my friends doing all this stuff...organizing or building or whatever. I haven't done anything yet. I'm not even watching any 'extra' TV shows or Movies. I did my Taxes yesterday...and I did plant a bunch of seeds in the Garden the last two days, as well as Spring Garlic and Onion sets. My problem is my Knee pain. If I don't do anything, just sit around and listen to the radio, read my mail/newspaper and talk to family friends on the Phone, then my Knee doesn't hurt...but if I try to do stuff where I have to walk, I get charlie horse in the calf and Knee pain, even when using a crutch. I sure wish the knee replacement surgery wasn't canceled.

Oh, I'm still on my Diet, with limited success :(
...so no Carbs...and all I crave, is food with Carbs.

OK, I will quit whining now.

Yesterday thinking of poor Lamar and his frozen over garden I went out and mowed an acre of grass. See what I nice guy I am, I'm sure Lamar feels much better now. ;)

Many years ago I quit casting up large quantities of bullets, even those that I used a lot of. Far more often than not a few years later they ended up back in the pot, pure silly me thinks. Any more I cast what I know I am about to load with just a few extra's.

Hukt on foniks werk'd fur me! My speeling an' tiping still needs werk tho.
Rarely does a day go by that I don't find errors in autocorrect. Most of the software must come from India, because some corrections seem to be in British Colonial English, and we threw them out of the country not quite 250 years ago!

Just got up. Worked to 6 am this morning. Having my coffee. Brother called said he got my truck dropped off at the diagnostic center.
The trucks wiring and emissions had been severely bubbed. We have got everything hooked up right, using another identical vehicle that runs perfect as a guide. Had bad EGR and 4 bad sensors, we replaced those.....plus the map just for giggles.
Runs great but still........
It will not come off high idle, unless you unplug a coolant temp sensor. Either one will do.
Tps is good. Throttle body is working like it should. We have found 2 Corroded connectors which we repaired.
Ran code checks they now show nothing wrong.
So time to cough up $150 and take it to the man who does it for a living. He has the big machine. He promises no charge unless he finds the problem. Gives you a full print out with wireing diagrams and locations of all wires, Connectors, repair procedures, and so forth.

Temp sensor sets mixture. Range day. Results later. Filled holes in back the dogs dug, few others too. Gras seed still not germinated yet. Auto correct tries to fix my fumble fingers

Putting more siding on the goat barn today. I wish the sun would come out and stay out instead of this peekaboo game. 5 or 10 more degrees would be perfect.
