An update on Mrs. smokeywolf's condition.
She's responding well to her meds. Had her first somewhat normal day yesterday. Have to check her blood pressure and pulse rate 3 to 5 times per day and log it in a journal. She's just now starting to get some quality sleep at night.
Quite the learning curve to eating the right foods in the right order to keep her blood sugar as stable as possible. Particularly as she's on a starting dose of her med. Her blood sugar was 129 this morning. Lowest since it was initially checked in the ER three weeks ago.
We're going to have a mostly salt-free, sugar-free, very unconventional Thanksgiving.
One of the features we had hoped for in a (2 level) retirement home was an elevator. With my back, hips, knees, I figured at some point in the future, stairs could become a challenge. When I asked the cardiologist about Mrs. S ascending stairs, he said she should probably avoid that for a few months. I was able to tell him, that's OK, we have an elevator.
Thanks again to all for your support and have a really super Thanksgiving.
