Al, I also hope your prosthetic fitting goes well. You sound like you're ready and prepared. My only shared thought is the importance of making sure your prosthetic fits snugly, you want the pressure to be applied evenly to your residual limb, if it fits loosely all the pressure is on the end and that will hurt and cause issues. Mine would get loose over the course of the day and I would have to put on another sock to tighten things up. My first two prosthetics used a spiked barb on the end of the gel sleeve that locked into a hole in the base of the socket. Easy to put on and off but hard to keep snug, especially when the residual limb starts shrinking. My third prosthetic is held on by a different method that works better but they wouldn't fit me with that until my stump stopped changing size.
